First, I would like to apologize to you for your frustrations, but I am a bit confused about the situation as a whole.Records indicate that *** was registered for the September 25th classShe would have been eligible for her learner's permit as early as September 28thHad she applied for the
permit at that time, we could have definitely had her completed with the course by her 18th birthdayI cannot speak to when she actually went to DPS to apply for the permit nor why the DPS staff would have responded in such a manner, but making sure she was done by her birthday would not have been an issue at allAustin Driving School has been in business for the past years, and we would not have provided information in an effort to make more moneyWe have another student that started the same day, and she completed the course October 25thIn addition, *** *** has worked for Austin Driving School for the past eight years, and she is very thorough when she is registering customersWhen a customer comes in to register for a teen driver's education and they are a minor, we are going to register them for a (minor) teen driver's education courseWhile I was not present at the time of registration, I cannot imagine that *** would have purposely not given the option to take the adult course (once she was 18) if it was mentioned that she was turning in a couple of monthsKeep in mind that the adult course does not include any required driving instructionIf it was discussed that she was needing to actually have hands on driving instruction, the teen course would have been the best option based on the time constraint, finances, and ageIf she had opted to wait until her 18th birthday, there would have been a $fee for the classroom course and a $fee for the optional adult driving lessonsMonetarily, $would be a better bargain versus $495, and unfortunately she would currently still be waiting to take the adult course. ***'s father stopped by to request a refund on October 25th and the complaint with the Revdex.com was filed October 26thHowever, *** was in class last night, November 6th, making up a missed class, and she has now completed the classroom phase of the courseSo, I am uncertain why we are being asked for a refund and a complaint has been filed if she is still continuing to take the courseAustin Driving School is certainly happy to refund the amount that has not been used, help her complete the remainder of the course once she has her permit, or we can transfer the funds to an adult courseUnfortunately, the school will not be able to refund the portion that has already been usedAgain, our intention is to never frustrate our customers or mislead themHowever, based on the information provided and my conversations with *** and Mr*** (***'s classroom instructor and school owner), a full refund cannot be issuedPlease let me know how you would like to proceed, and I will do everything in my power to take care of the remainder of ***'s driver's education
