I've heard nothing but great things about Patterson Performance but my experience has been different. I first went to Patterson Performance for a fuel rail upgrade on my sti, after 6 hours of waiting around for what was said is only a 2 hour job, I was completely unhappy with the over the engine, exposed fuel lines. Not to mention I waited around with my pregnant wife. 99% of people I've talked to say they hide the fuel lines. After bring my concerns to the mechanic he said there was nothing he could do but he agreed it looked bad. I then went to Patterson Performance to purchase a set of control arms and trailing arms for my car which was getting some repairs at a different body shop. The guy, who is usually in the front doing sales for them, helped me and ordered the parts. It turned out he ordered the wrong trailing arms for me. I went to the store with the parts in a box to make a return or exchange but the guy has the nerve to tell me that because I didn't have the box, he couldn't take it back so I would have to be out $412 on his mistake. Didn't even try to find a solution for me or apologize. After I got upset, I said I wanted to speak to Donald who is the owner but was not there. I waited about half an hour for him to get there and when he does he took time to help out his buddies first then asked me how he could help me. Again, I was there with my now 7 month pregnant wife and 6 year old son waiting over 2 hours for him to resolve this problem for me. The correct part was $45 more but still I was charged for a restocking fee which ended up being and extra $110. At that point my son was bored and hungry and so was my wife, so I paid and left. I shouldn't have paid a restocking fee or any fee at all really. Donald's employee messed up and I paid for it. That's not right. My experience has been that if you aren't good friends with some of the employees or Donald Patterson himself you'll get a half mediocre job with no real care for their customers experience or satisfaction. I've gotten some work done at SVS performance and I was never dissatisfied. I'll probably be spending my money there from now on.
