Dealing with this place was a nightmare and I've subsequently heard of other people who have had bad experiences here. I spoke with *** at Simon's Auto Repair before dropping off my car and specifically asked for a price estimate. He said he wouldn't know until he got the car in and looked at it. The next call I received was to tell me the work had already been done & I was given an exorbitant price. I only had new spark plugs put in and my oil changed and I was given a bill $255- WITHOUT having ever given my permission for the services to be performed. *** acknowledged that he hadn't called to offer a quote before the work was performed. He wouldn't offer me any discounts or any sort of recompense for taking advantage of me.
When my friend (who is a man) went in to confront *** about the company's poor business practices, *** would not do anything for us. He finally offered a measly 10% discount - offering no apology.
This was an AWFUL experience. I was completely taken advantage of as a young woman. PLEASE do not take your car here and risk a similar experience.
The customer's complaint refers to the service we did in the following order.
1. Customer called and asked for an estimate for her plugs and an oil change. She was told she could not receive an exact quote without the vehicle information (VIN) that she did not have.
2. She received an estimate based on the given information (not exact quote). She then made an appointment.
3. She came to the appointment to drop off her vehicle and stated she wanted the work done.
4. Work was performed per customer request at the appointment.
5. Customer was called and given the total and she became angry.
6. We did offer and give her a 10% discount off of her total.
7. After she expressed dissatisfaction we reached out to her twice to resolve the issue and ensure satisfaction to which there was no response.
We received this complaint and am now responding.
I took my 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan to Simon's the heat was not working in the front.after they looked at it the told me I needed a relay and manifold and a fuse. The cost would be 320.15. I picked the van up. I had heat a week I took it back they left a wire unpluged. The heat worked a while then it went back out. I called was told to bring it back the next day the heat came out on after that the heat comes on sometimes most of the time it does not. I took it back again they told me they can not fix it I need to take it to the dealer. My van was never fixed I still don't have heat and I want my money back.
CUSTOMER MADE AN APPOINTMENT WITH US TO FIX HER HEAT, WE REPLACED A RELAY THAT WAS BLOWN, AND REPLACED HER INTAKE MANIFOLD GASKETS THAT WERE LEAKING FOR THE AMOUNT OF $320.15. WHEN SHE PICKED UP HER VAN SHE HAD HEAT, SHE THEN CALLED ME BACK A WEEK OR TWO LATER SAYING SHE DIDN'T HAVE HEAT. WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND SHE CANCELLED IT BECAUSE HER HEAT RETURNED. THEN SHE MADE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT LATER ON SAYING IT WAS OUT AGAIN. WHEN SHE BROUGHT IT IN WE FOUND THAT THE CIRCUIT IN THE WIRING WAS BURNT, IT WAS NOT LIKE THAT PREVIOUSLY SO WE RECOMMENDED HER TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT CAN MAKE THAT REPAIR BECAUSE IT REQUIRES THE VEHICLE TO PROGRAMMED. THE REPAIR SHE WAS CHARGED FOR DONE
