Patriot Auto Center Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below.
The owner [redacted] told me prior to purchasing the vehicle that the vehicle was in sound mechanical condition.  Among many of the issues the vehicle had a bad transmission.  As I had the vehicle transported from Rhode Island to Colorado there was obvious millage added to the vehicle, the transportation company called us within an hour of the transport telling us the vehicle was demonstrating a vibrating noise at lower speeds.  Turns out, the transmission vibrated while in lower gears, and thus made the journey to Colorado with a bad transmission.  [redacted] didn't like the transmission repair quote from the [redacted] dealership and requested I take it to [redacted], I did and the repair to rebuild the transmission was $5,600.00.  I have all the documentation to support that the transmission was both faulty and the repair cost was not $3,000.00.  Thus, [redacted]'s offer of $1,500 doesn't even cover half of the repair that should have been done prior to the sale.   [redacted]'s claim that I somehow had the truck in service for 13 days is another of his lies, as that is a complete fabrication.  Also, not disclosed was that the rear door hinges where so badly damaged that they didn't shut and will need to be replaced to the tune of $5,000.00 ... I have all the documentation to support the costs I have incurred in repairing this vehicle to where in can be put into service.  The amount is staggering given [redacted] represented the vehicle as being in sound operating condition.  When the doors don't shut, the transmission vibrates, and the cooling unti doesn't cool, all of that and more makes the fraudulent misrepresentation of the vehicle's condition plain and obvious.  The least [redacted] could do at this point is split the transmission cost which would be $2,800.00 to him.  That would be the very least, the offer of $1,500 in which he hung up on me none the less, only adds to the insulting nature of how he does business.
Regards,
[redacted]

this vehicle was listed for sale for 20000 dollars we discounted it 3000 and sold for 17000 the purchaser had someone drive it back to colorodo and then drove for 13 days and accumulating 2900 miles the say the transmission needs rebuilding I have talked to 3 different trany shps and they all...

told me 3000 to 3200 to do the job I have offered 1500 toward the repair which is more than fair seeing they have put 3000 miles on vehicle and have signed paperwork stating it was bought as is if he wishes to get paid before repair he can sign off on truck freeing us of any liability
