and when we could not find anything, I asked him for his order number. He initially said he was not sure. I asked him to check his email and get back to us when he found it. He later called back saying he had an order number #[redacted]. I immediately realized that this order does not belong to us, as our order numbers are 5 digits long. As I write this letter, our last customer order number is #[redacted]. We have a parent company that is headquartered in Chicago and they recently opened up their own website called [redacted]. Our website is [redacted]. The [redacted] website has orders that are 4 digits long. Sometimes there is confusion for customers when they place an order because the parent company had linked our website to theirs until they opened their own site. Also, the [redacted] website does not have their phone number listed, so many people who place an order with them, call us for any issues that they have since our phone number is readily available on our own site. We tell them to contact the chicago office because we are unable to look into their system. In regards to this customer complaint from [redacted], I had told him multiple times that he did not place and order with us at [redacted], and that he should contact the [redacted] website which he placed the order with. I gave him 2 separate phone numbers to contact in chicago and whether he did or not, I am not sure. He had called us at least on 6 different occasions and I was very courteous with him and thoroughly explained that the order was not placed on our website. For whatever reason, he would not believe me and he started to curse me out. I nicely told him that I could no longer help him and said goodbye.
