First of all I would like to apologize for the FestivalIalong with her and every other vendor had hoped for a better turn out Secondly, when I started this Event,I was only hoping for at least vendors As time went on,everyone was trying to get in on itI tried to accommodateall of them It was only in April that I had jumped in the vendor list to so many I guess my point here is that, untilthat time, I had not said anything about more than When they all signed up, I had told them that there would bea mandatory meeting on the 29th of May {not the 28th} and I also tried to accomodate the ones that didn't come to thatone by having one the following Wedof which only people showed up At the Main meeting, I told about the spaces, setupand times...I also said that because of lack of sponsorship money,I wasn't able to get the really big names in, but we would stillhave a great show with the ones we could At that meeting, I had a small show including two of our Local Talents and one of the Nashville Singer/Songwriters to performAt the Festival itself, I was able to get a lot of people to comein and perform, Dustin W***, Stephanie M***, Bob C**, TheCountry Gentlemen, Sawtooth Bluegrass Association, Adrian P [redacted] ,and I had an open mic as well for those of the valley that wanted tojoin inGina J***, Our Nashville act, sang on Friday Evebut it wassimply too hot for her to continue.I had so many vendors not show up, I am assuming because of the heat.they had all paid their fees in advance, so that must be the only reason. The way it was setup was that the Food and Beer was to be set up inthe park and the vendors in the rest of the area When I had so many not show, On Friday night, I offered along with the help of about 15other vendors from the park to move all of them on the outside to the park as wellFrom 8pm to 3am, we were able to move booths to the new location A lot of the vendors did not accept the offer and left.I have no problem with that....I understoodThat being said, all of the vendors who did, thanked me and were able to re coop their money throughoutthe weekendIt was a difficult HOT weekend for everyoneWe didn't have a lot of people coming, the town didn't support it, and I took a lot of heat from a lot of disappointed peopleBut no one was more disappointed that I wasAs a Vendor, Events are a crap shoot You never know how it is goingto turn out All you can do is hope for the bestSometimes you make lots of money, sometimes you simply loseI hate that as much as anyone, but that is just the way it is.I had worked my butt off on this show, with not a lot of help from anyoneexcept a couple of my friendsI lost so much money, time, My Store, MyHome and most important my reputation I am not blaming anyone for anything, What is done is done...but I honestly did this for the communityand one little old Couple as her dying wishHe was able to hear music againand show his Dinosaur Exhibit one more time in his home town So, allthings considered, I did the best that I could do in a very BAD situation. As for the Lies I supposedly told about the Musicians, I'm not really sure what [redacted] is talking aboutAll I had said was that I couldn't raise enough money for them...that is not their fault or mine for that matter I had and have no Employees, so not sure where that come from either I never gave anyone free spaces for the Event except for the Non-profits.Everyone else paid I was not able to collect at the gate because of the lack of fencing around the park, which was supposed to be in place before FridayafternoonOnce again, not my fault...but it is what it is.I want to point out that I never, not one time walked away from someonecomplaining I stood and listened to everyone screaming at me for three days.I was extremely hurt by all of this, but I also knew they had every reason tobe mad, so I took the grief from their anger I can't say that all of theones helping me did stand and take it, but I did...As for the money that was taken for spaces, it was used for advertising, licenses, fees, insurance, etc It did not go into my pocket as I have beenaccused of Had that happened, I would not have lost my Store, Home and everything else I lost.I might point out that if I had still been continuing to advertise the Big Names as I was accused of, We may have had a bigger crowd, but I guess the fact thatConcert goers didn't come out just proved that that didn't happen, but the Show itself was advertised, just TOO [redacted] HOT to attend If you would like to askany other festival that weekend or in the last month about their attendance, you will see and hear almost the same Seniario ThunderEgg Days has been going foryears and they had about vendors not attend this last weekendVale Rodeovendors and sales were down less than half Roseburg was about half as much as previous years point to be made is that it is a hard year for showsI doapologize for all of my faults, but some of it is totally out of my control.I tried to make it right for all of the vendors who stuck it out Asside from movingthem closer, I offered them a "FREE" Event for the Holidays somewhere betweenNov15th and 30th All except one accepted The one who didn't, did acceptone in her area She lived in Burley and didn't want to travel in the winterSo sheaccepted one down there that is closer to home.I am not sure about what other states that [redacted] feels I hurt, but I never dealtwith any other states on the Event Nobody knows and cares more about the struggle of Families financially than I do I would never intentionally hurt or cause harm to anyone.Anyway, Once again I do apologize for my part in this heartache...Thank you, Nancy @Patch Work Promotions Elgin Street Caldwell, Idaho
