Parking Revenue Recovery Services Inc Reviews (166)

On April 29th I was in Dallas for a seminar. I parked in a spot and purchased the parking spot on a kiosk. I came back and had a ticket on my car. I had forgot to put the ticket on the dash so I contacted the company and it took several days for a response. Then I get a letter in the mail from a collection attorney named Beyer & Associates. They tell me that I actually purchased the ticket for the parking lot next to the one I parked in. The attorney representing them then tells me that they will lower the fine to $25. I already paid for a spot that I did not use by mistake. I talked to a supervisor there and was told the same thing that they will not negotiate down to the actual fee for the parking. I made a mistake. I agree with that but I should not be fined extra because the parking situation was not clear. I have no problem paying the actual amount because I did use their property to park. This company has already sent my information to collections and they intend to harm my credit because of this. I'm surprised that this company would handle their business like this because they depend solely on businesses parking there for their revenue. Do not park in their lots as they are not ethical and try to make the whole process an ordeal so that you will just pay the fine(s) exorbitant amount.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2015/12/01) */
Our office accesses all accounts by parking notice numberUnfortunately there is not enough information provided in this complaint for us to research and respondPlease submit additional information so we may respond

I have reviewed this dispute and need more information. This consumer has stated that she paid to park but has not submitted any verification of this. I did check our phones lines and the phone number this consumer should have called is ***. I checked this number
several times and it is in working order. I did however listen to the message and realize there was an outdated fax number on the message. I will get this updated asap and thank this consumer for bringing this to our attention. Our correct fax number is *** if this consumer would like to send her payment information to that number

According to our records, the owner of the parking lot requested this notice to be voided and our office has voided the notice He acknowledged that while the receipt was expired and this consumer had not paid for the parking session, she may have been verbally misinformed by the hotel front desk. There are a limited number of vendors who sell envelopes to private parking company's and municipalities for parking notices and tickets Our envelopes are the exact same used by cities, universities and parking company's across the USA We do not appreciate this consumer's insinuation that we are doing something sneaky by have a size of envelope she could not see.Lastly, all contacts to our office are returned, including phone calls and faxes We feel this consumer is insinuating that we are not reachable and that is not the case at all She does not need to fabricate facts to try and sway the Revdex.com to side with her complaint. We consider this matter closed and it should not have been filed as a complaint against our company, we have done nothing wrong

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
Sincerely,
*** *** Per business request, the following Info is provided:Notice #s: *** *** ***Vehicle Plate #: *** (State of ***)

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. *** *** in *** is a new client of ours. At the time of implementation they did not have a *** *** setup. After receiving this complaint I reviewed the parking notice and see that this consumer had already brought
this issue to the attention of *** *** and they had contacted *** *** who requested this notice to be voided. We have reached out to our client today to get up to speed on the *** *** process for their lots. This notice was issued in error and has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused this consumer

please submit a copy of the credit card statement showing you have paid the parking fee to park

I believe I have already responded to this complaint. Nonetheless, all of our records are accessed via the parking company name and notice number. Since this information has not been provided, I am unable to respond specifically to this complaint. If I go by the information this consumer has provided I will say that all correspondence and phone call voice mails are returned by our agents. The posted rules at this parking lot require prepayment for parking for the session the vehicle will be parked. If the consumer was in the vehicle and it had mechanical issues, she still would have needed to have a valid paid receipt on the dash. I am assuming that is why the attendant wrote the notice, that the receipt was probably expired. If she would like to submit the notice # I will be happy to respond to her specific complaint

*** *** was issued a notice for $for no payment in advance. He states that he paid, however, he has not shown proof of payment. I am not able to further investigate the validly of the notice issued if the consumer does not provide proof that he paid for parking. When
the lot attendant enters the lot, they go to the pay station and pull a report, then match the paid report by plate number to the vehicles in the lot. When the lot attendant reached this vehicle, they did not see the plate number on the list of paid vehicles, therefore a notice was issued for no payment in advance. At this time the notice that was issued will be upheld unless *** *** provides proof of payment to be further investigated at that time

Complaint: ***
From the Business: "All contacts to our office are logged in the notes of the parking record and there are no notes for this. Please submit your dispute through the Revdex.com channel so I can review your information. When you submitted your dispute did you get a confirmation email back from our office?"Never received confirmation email, from both submittalsAlso when I called was referred to the online form or FaxI'll submit my dispute of the ticket thru the Revdex.com Channel#Dispute of the ticket: After pm price is $all eveningWatch showed 4:pm, paid the $put it on my dash and ran off to catch the 4:movieTicket time stamped 3:59, not going to argue who had the correct time but want consideration for intent.#dispute and reason filed with Revdex.com and Attorney General Consumer Fraud division was you have online filing for disputes that is not working or ignored along with lack of independent resolution (conflict of interest) Your online form does not give a time stamp so consumer is relying on a email confirmation that is never issued. Flawed or fraudulent process
Sincerely,

Yes, I have read this complaint and the parking company does give a grace periodPlease submit your receipt so I can verify the times before taking any actionWhy was this dispute and receipt copy submitted to our office before filing this
complaint? This could be easily resolved. Thanks!

What does this mean? Are you not even going to require someone to write an actual complaint before you send it to me? Come on! I have no idea what this person is trying to tell me and until they write a complaint we will not be responding

Please see attached email response or office has already submittedIn addition I am including a photo of the posted requirement of the parking lot to prepay for parking and to display the receipt on the dash
This notice was written by a
*** *** lot attendant as he was unable to see a paid receipt on this consumer's dashI have reviewed the notice and photos taken by the *** lot attendant on the day in questionThe notice was issued for No Ticket on Dash and there is no receipt visibleThe notice is valid and cannot be dismissedThere ia no error in the administration of this violstion
There is a substantial cost to *** *** to operate this parking lot, employee staff and administer a violation program to monitor the parking lot for situations like thisWe have reduced the amount due by $as a courtesy and hope that your understand our position and take advantage of the discount offered
At this time we show that this consumer has paid this notice and we consider the matter closed
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/08/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The Notice that I received states "REASON: NO PAYMENT TO PARK"Therefore, I was being fined for not paying for parkingI provided proof that I did in fact pay for parking, by sending in a copy of the receipt showing I paid the full amount of parking
The explanation given by PRRS is incorrect and misleadingThey now state that the notice was given for "No Ticket On Dash", however, it does not state this anywhere on the notice given to meOnly after the fact are they claiming the notice was for no ticket on dash despite the clear evidence that I provided that I did in fact pay for parking that dayI do not consider this matter closedI did pay the fee because the company was threatening me with legal action and collectionsI believe their practices are unscrupulous and predatoryThey have even gone so far as to insinuate that perhaps I falsified my parking receipt which is ridiculous
I am requesting a refund of the payment of $

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I appreciate the response from the business although I think it is offensive that it is still insinuating that I may have provided a falsified receiptI can provide proof of payment from my bank statementIn any event, I have not yet received any refund so this matter is still not resolvedThank you
Final Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2015/09/04) */
the refund check will be mailed todayWe have had numerous people create fake receipts/bank statements to try and prove they paid to parkThis is why our policy is not to accept any receipt or bank statement, this was not stating that is what happened in this case, merely that this is why we have adapted this policy

We have requested and received authorization to dismiss this notice. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this has caused you

This notice has been dismissed

It is ridiculous for this consumer to try and say that our office has attempted to fraudulently send some kind of doctored photo of his dash. It is very simple, we pull up the notice with the photos and click PRINT. Then we scan the document to a folder and attach the dox to the Revdex.com response page. There is no magic or way to contrive a lower quality photo. After looking at this complaint again I recognize that there may not have been a 100% clear way for this consumer to know a receipt should be on the dash. I have contacted *** and requested permission to void this notice. I have received authorization and have voided the notice. I am unable to refund the parking fee.Lastly, it is clear to me that this consumer was aware at some point that the receipt should have been on the dash as he "staged" another photo with a receipt on the dash and submitted it to our office

As you know, ABM Parking operates private parking lots in the Milwaukee area. The surface lot which is the subject of the above complaint is operated on an honor system; this lot is not manned, but is set up with a payment machine, and parking customers are expected to pay if they park in this
lot. Unfortunately, many parking customers do not payIn addition, some parking customers even attempt to defraud the parking companies by creating paid receipts and bank statements, monthly parking permits, and sharing payment receipts and monthly permits. This is a significant and substantial problem for ABM Parking, as it is for all parking companies who operate surface parking lotsABM Parking has retained our office's services to assist them with their parking monitoring and collectionsAs you may also know, property owners have the right to protect their property from trespassers. Specifically, private parking companies, as the owners/authorized managers of these private parking lots, have the right to establish terms and conditions under which a customer is permitted to park their vehicle or use the parking lot. A customer is permitted to use the parking lot only if they fully comply with the terms and conditions established by the parking company. If a parking customer does not fully comply with the terms and conditions, they are trespassing. On 3/3/this consumer's was parked at ABM's lot at *** Church. This lot requires the user to prepay for their parking space and to display their prepaid receipt FACEUP on the dash. When the attendant checked this vehicle, the receipt was facedown and unable to be read. Since the attendant was unable to verify the parking space day and time/expiration, a notice was issued for TICKET FACEDOWN. I have attached copies of the photos taken by the attendant on 3/3. There is posted signage at the lot stating the requirement to have a prepaid receipt FACEUP on the dash. It is imperative that the user prepays to park and displays a valid receipt so it can be read. We believe this notice is valid and due. This consumer contacted our office to dispute this notice and our agent offered her a reduced settlement. That offer is still available and open

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/12/20) */
Our office was able to reach a settlement with this consumer and request you close this dispute

*** has signage posted at the Redevelopment parking lot detailing the terms and conditions of using their lots, including payment rates, rules and general guidelines (pre-paying for the space utilized, prepaying for the amount of time they will park, displaying paid receipt face up on dash, etc.) Issuing parking notices is one way for *** *** to enforce their property rightsTowing or booting vehicles would be alternative ways for a parking company to enforce their property rights
On 8/20/a vehicle registered to this consumer was parked at *** *** lotThis particular parking lot requires the user to prepay for their parking space then display the prepaid receipt on the dashThis is the only way the lot attendant will be able to verify prepayment for parkingWhen the attendant checked this vehicle, there was no receipt displayed so a notice was issued for NO TICKET ON DASHThis consumer contacted our office to dispute the notice and admitted that she had not placed a receipt on the dashWe believe the notice is valid and cannot be dismissed
I have attached a copy of the photo taken by the lot attendant on this date
Our agent offered this consumer a reduced settlement offer however it has not been paid and this remains an open noticeI am able to extend the settlement until 10/10/
