RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute. Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below.I can not accept a response from Park Place until we resolve a new issue regarding chipped and cracked paint noted to sunroof area. I have had the pick up in my possession for 3 weeks when the chips and cracks were noted. I am awaiting a plan of action to see about the repairs. I am hoping for a plan that works for me so that 1) I am not left without a vehicle again 2) my truck is not taken to a Park Place Shop and 3) for me not to have to pay for the repairs out of my own pocket and then wait for reimbursement. Photos available upon request. I would also like to add that the pick up has not been washed not one time since it has been in my possession. Regards, [redacted]
Please see attached documentation for timeline of events*** *** states that she dropped her truck off on May 4thThis is correctWe received her work authorization on the same day, May 4thHer vehicle was a very large hail repair job and it was assigned to a technician for disassembly and
supplement documentation on May 5th*** *** states that her insurance company , Texas Farm Bureau, took one week to inspect the supplement damages to her truckThis is falseAs documented in our attachment, it took her insurance company over two (2) weeks to re-inspect the supplemental damagesThis is a delay on her insurance companynot Park PlaceAt Park Place BodyWerks, we do not make commitments or promises to completion dates or time frames due to the complexity of most repairsAccording to *** DeLuca, the advisor that took care of her, she was told that her repairs would take four (4) weeks or more contingent on insurance delays and/or parts delaysBoth of which played a large part in her repairs taking as long as they didFurthermore, there was more that one supplement that had to filed with her insurance company because they did not address all of the requested parts and labor operations on their initial supplement*** *** states that a Park Place Technician "broke" her windshieldThis is also FalseTo imply that a technician broke her windshield makes the accusation that the act was deliberate or intentional. Due to the complexity of her repair job and the fact that the roof repaired replacement, the windshield had to be removedIt is inherent with glass, especially windshields, that they will break during R&I (removal and inspection)Windshields are rigid made from fragile, breakable glass and most often do not stand up to the removal processHer insurance company is knowledgeable of this fact and hence they paid for the replacement of the windshield as part of the claimThat said no insurance company with pay for a glass BEFORE the damage occurs*** *** asked *** "why wouldn't we ask for the windshield replacement as part of our original supplement"? His answer was because the windshield had net been removed at that point and was undamagedNo insurance company will pay for damaged parts or labor before it is proven they are neededIn other words, you can not file a claim for an accident that has not occurred yet*** *** states that there were chips in her paint that were not addressedShe goes further to suggest that they were not there before the claimThis is FalseThe chips that she pointed out at the time of picking up her car were what are referred to as rock chipsAll vehicles that are driven on roads or off-roads are subjected to getting rock chipped from small debris that is kicked up from traffic in frontThe front of her hood and front bumper where covered with rock chipsAs a repair shop, it is not our job to determine liabilityIf *** *** truly feels that the rock chips are part of her claim, the burden of proof is up to her to prove her belief to her insurance companyThis was explained to her at the time of pick up*** *** states that we did not offer a substitute vehicle for our errorsPark Place does not cover rental expenseThere were not any errors on Park Place's part either*** *** does make mention that a clip was found either broken or gluedShe provided me a picture of the part and this was after she had her vehicle back for a week plusConsidering she lives over an hour and half away, she asked if she could have the clip replaced at her local dealership and that I would reimburse her for itShe provided the documentation and I ordered a check request for herI explained that it would take the better part of a week or more to receive the check do to the size of our company and how many department would be involvedShe said thank you and that was the last we spoke. Attached you will find: Cover sheet form Texas Farm Bureau with date and time of supplement #, Our documentation of communication on repair process, check request and receipt for clipthank you,*** ***

*** *** The response that was submitted stating that I could not be reached by phone is a lie As I stated before *** *** is dishonest This is very frustrating
*** ***I do apologize that you have experienced trouble with your insurance carrier, USAA, in regard to paying what is owed to you for rental reimbursementI have consulted with *** ***, my estimator, about your experience and here is what I have found from our documentationYou
emailed *** the claim number to your USAA claim on the 10th, one day after you dropped your car offIn your complaint to Revdex.com you stated that you emailed *** a copy of the estimate but that is not what we receivedI have attached a copy of the email where you provided *** the claim number (no attachment)Unfortunately we are not able to begin repairs on a car based off of a claim number aloneWe must have a copy of the estimate written by the insurance company to move forward*** called on USAA on August 10th, the same day you emailed the claim number to obtain a copy of the estimate that they prepared, He then emailed you via our Repair Tracker on the 12th to let you know that we were still waiting on USAA to provide a working estimateI have provided a copy of the estimate that USAA faxed to us on the 16th, six days after we requested itFinally, I have attached a copy of the work authorization you signed and initialedThere is a part of the work authorization that talks about rental vehicles and it states that while Park Place strives to repair cars within the day policy max that most insurance companies offer to their insured's, it is some times not feasible to complete the repair with in said time frameIn these cases, rental car expenses not covered by the insurance company will be the expense of the renter. *** emailed you on the 26th of August to inform you that your car was complete and ready to be picked up at your convenienceThis was only business days after receiving the estimate from your insurance companyIn regard to *** not returning your calls, I did question him about this and he mentioned that he did try returning your calls on more than one occasion but he received an automated message which stated " The wireless customer you have called is unavailable"He states that he was not able to leave a message either which is why he continued to use the "My Repair Tracker" to communicate through email and textI have explained to him the importance of making sure that his clients are kept informed. In closing *** *** you have every right to be frustrated about being charged by Enterprise for the rental days your insurance carrier chose not cover under your policyHowever, it is my opinion that USAA should be covering your out of pocket expense for rental charges*** *** expressed to you at the time of pick up that USAA owed for the days not covered and that he had the supporting documentation to help you get it collectedUnfortunately, I can not fulfill your request to reimburse you for the rental cost that you have incurredI am willing to assist you with USAA if you need further help explaining the documentation.*** ***

[redacted],
I have
been able to confirm that the reimbursement check has been issued and will be
mailed out today. The check was requested on the 14th at 12:53 pm,
approximately one hour after receiving your email. As mentioned on the phone
with you, I did state that it might take a week or more to receive the check. I
am sorry that you feel the windshield was not necessary, we do our best to
remove parts that are intended for one time use in a safe manor. I am thankful
that Texas Farm Bureau understood the nature of glass removal and was able to
provide an OEM glass for replacement. While I cannot speak for Texas Farm
Bureau, I do apologies for any and all delays that were attributed to the overall
time frame it took to repair your truck.
I want you
to be completely satisfied with the repairs we performed. If there is some
aspect of the repair that you feel needs attention please let me help you. I am
more than happy to file a supplement for additional repairs to Texas Farm
Bureau.
Thank you,

[redacted] The reply just made it clear that this shop accepted a job that was too complex for them to take on in a timely manner. I would like potential customers to notice that the reply by park place did not have an written apology only excuses for the poor job they did. I am aware of the time it took my insurance to see my vehicle. park place cannot use this as an excuse for the job they told me would be 3 to 4 weeks and took them 6 to 7 weeks. the fact that the employee does not own up to the fact that he told me 3 to 4 weeks is a reflection of the poor communication at park place. also the poor customer service there. Its a shame my insurance had to pay for parkplace lack of knowledge in hot to remove a windshield correctly. the part of the reply that states "rock chipped" I read that as another excuse to not do the body work my truck required. also the reply stated "reimburse her for it", my question is where is my reimbursement? I sent the copy of the receipt on 7/14/15 and today is 7/25/15 .
