Attached is a copy of the inspection that she is referring to. We spoke with [redacted] he stated that there was one nail pop and he included a picture. That it is his standard wording in all his reports, if he finds one thing wrong.  But he said to look below that it says its installed very...

well. We did go out and fix the one nail pop. And sealed some nail heads as well. The city of Dallas also went out and inspected the roof as they do for all permits pulled and the roof passed, they just need to see a copy of dump receipt. We went out the her house, signed a contract and she chose the color weather wood. She wanted to match her old shingles, which was weather wood. Due to the age of the shingles the old roof she had on there was much darker from staining and algae. So when we put the new roof on she was unhappy with the color. We took the old shingles and the new shingles and showed her that it was in fact the same color. During the whole process of the roof project she was very rude, cussing at us several times, calling the owner a liar due to her not liking the color. And said it was a sham of a roof. Which she also wrote on memo of her check. She was also unhappy because she thought that the ridge was up higher then her old ridge cap. The insurance company only pays to replace what is currently up there which was high profile ridge cap. This is standard wording if he finds one nail pop, or a nail that was over driven. 7. *Visual inspection suggests that approximately 25% of the nails were overdriven due to over calibrated nail gun. 8. Based on a very small random sample a large number of nails are either over driven or crooked. This condition will result in shingles slipping off the roof because there are not enough nails holding it in place. A few high nails (nail pops) were also seen. The shingles with nail pops need to be replaced because they will eventually leak. They may already be leaking but not enough to show up as a stain on the interior ceiling. The placement of the nails within the nailing area is good. Only a few nails were seen above the nailing area and none were seen below the nailing areaHe also stated this:S U M M A R Y O F R O O F T O P S I T E I N S P E C T I O N Based on my visual, non-destructive evaluation, the roof was installed very well. Only minor installation flaws were noticed. Roof systems of this type should last between 15 and 25 years with no major repairs needed. Finally, we always recommend annual maintenance and cleaning to keep your roof running smoothly for many years to come. We are going to go back out there with the project manager, inspector, the roof installer and look over the whole roof again. Fix anything that needs fixed. But we have already done this and its a very nice roof. Even her inspector she paid said it was very well installed, nice quality roof. Shes been unhappy from start to finish due to the color. We have went out of our way to try and make her happy. We even gave her a $250.00 gift card when she paid her roof in full yesterday (1/3/2018). We sent her a copy of our warranty because we do warranty our roof labor for 2 years, no charge to her at all if an issue every did come up. We do that will all of our roofs.  Will update more in the next few days when we have a time set to go out.
