is satisfactory to me. Hi My name is [redacted]. In March 2017 my husband and I purchased a membership in Paradise Village, in Puerto Vallarta (actually Puerto Nuevo). As part of the transaction, they agreed to take another timeshare off our hands which would eliminate the need to pay maintenance fees in perpetuity. This part of the process was to be handled by a third party company, Value Traders. At the time we paid an up-front amount to Value Traders, which was consistent with an amount we had paid previously for a similar job. However we were contacted directly by Value Traders who required more money which we reluctantly paid. We also provided all the required documents. We were told that the transaction could take up to 120 days. It is now much longer than that, Phone calls and emails to Value Traders are not replied to. Clearly they are a scam outfit. We had been warned that most companies involved in transferring ownership of timeshares are scams, but believed that when Paradise Village recommended them, they would be all right. Obviously not. I hold the sales group in Paradise Village responsible for this, and would like some recourse.
