I WANTED A SMALL JOB DONE, REMOVE A BATHROOM VANITY, AND REPLACE IT WITH A NEW ONE, ABOUT A TWO HRJOBI WAS TO BUY THE MATERIAL, THEY JUST HAD TO PUT IT IN, THE PRICE OF THE MATERIAL WAS NO PROBLEM, IT WAS THE LABOR COST, ARE YOU READY IT WAS GOING TO BE $TO DO THE WORK, TOTAL COST OF THE JOB WAS ABOUT $1100.00, NOW YOU BE THE JUDGE, THAT WORKS OUT TO BE $AN HOUR FOR A TWO HOUR JOB, I HAVE LEARNED NOT TO DEAL WITH THEM FOR ANY WORKI WOULD HATE TO DO A REC ROOM
The owner promised to have an item re-chromed by a certain date I went back times after that date and the item was still not completed The work was not done as promisedThe owner held the item and demanded $to release it The owner was rude and unprofessional There was another customer behind me in line and after observing the owner's behavior they left, due to the owner's swearing and unprofessional demeanor
It likely depends on the handyman assigned to your particular job, but we didn't have a great experience as first time customers. Would be reluctant to recommend or use this company again.
Restoring a vintage motorcycle with my father, we dropped the frame and various frame parts off to have nickel plated. After a much delayed return time my father picked up the frame and parts and took them home to surprise me. To our absolute shock this was the worst nickel plate job we had ever seen. Multiple areas did not get plated nor polished, zues fittings were broken off, sanding marks very highly visible under the plating. (I have pictures to prove all of this horrible workmanship). My father called Papago and advised them multiple spots were missed and we were coming back.
Once back at their shop we showed the owner everything and he advised us that if we wanted a good job it would have cost much more, I asked him where his subpar price list was. The owner then tried to accuse us of hiding a part from him and he should have charged us more! My father told the owner that we are trying to build a show bike and he stated “show bike! Everyone has a show bike! I highly doubt it’s a show bike ". I told him with all due respect I've been around motorcycles my entire life and have seen quality workmanship and this was far from it. He told us he would wash it off and took the frame and parts from us, as he was walking behind the counter he said “you don't need to be an ahole about it”
At this point our hopes we walked in with were smashed from the complete disregard for customer service and one of the rudest people I have ever met in my life. I told him to give us our parts back we are leaving; he wouldn't so I retrieved them myself. Now our father/son project is stuck with a very bad nickel job that would require much more money to fix.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT, DO NOT TAKE ANYTHING TO THEM, YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!
I used this company when I remodeled my kitchen and what a big mistake that was!!
I hired them to do all the electrical and the electrician took over 2 weeks to complete the job. He totally ignored my questions and concerns and wouldn't even address my concerns which gave me a great deal of unnecessary stress. He put 2 holes in my walls which were not required and I had to hold off paying them until they had the holes repaired properly. Don't expect any customer service from the receptionist or office staff. I called in my concerns and to complain about the attitude and damage done by the electrician and they didn't respond for over a week!! After a couple weeks, the repairs were done and I called in to pay by credit card. He wanted my card # but didn't know the balance owing. I don't trust them to do the right thing so I'm writing them a cheque. I would NEVER ,EVER use them again!
Cesar was terrific. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent workmanship. He was very clear on the timing of the work to be done and completed it quickly. We were very satisfied with Cesar and his work.
Did not complete with the finish I originally asked for.
Was not done within the time frame promised. Came back when they said it would be finished...it was not. Came back again when said it would be completed...it was not. Ended up taking nearly two weeks later than they said it would be finished. Would not work with me to resolve the problems, was defensive and inflexible. Clearly they have enough business that new and repeat business is not a priority. This contractor will not work with them again or refer.
They were suppose to chrome a grill for a 1934 Plymouth show car. It was not done on time, and the job was terrible could not put it on show car. The man that I talk to was very rude and hung up on me. I did not feel like I wanted to go back to this business to have it redone for fear they would not return it done right.

I was excited when I bought my project car. Hey, it was in pretty good shape for its vintage and it is very rare. I did need to have the bumpers/guards chromed as they were off a late mid century Japanese car. These cars where not known for their sturdy materials, every knows that.
Well, I decided to put all my faith in the folks over at Papago and it turned out to be a massive blunder. I should have read the other reviews, few good ones. Well, they probably did their best. But, their best isn't good enough to restore your dream. Hey, if you need a tub faucet done, go to them. If you're restoring a dream, find someone else. But if you do go to them, you;ll be treated to a filthy location, you'll get some rudeness, a lot of lateness (and a few failed "We'll have it tomorrow afternoons") and then, when they botch the job, they'll tell you it was the material they had to work with. Really, the same material that I brought to you weeks before and asked you to make perfect? That material?
So, now I have to live with this substandard job and take it to a real restoration place, one that knows what they're working with and won't blame the material for their botched work. I gave them a 1 rating, after all, they get me SOMETHING back. Nothing I want, but it is something.
Email me, I'll show you the kind of work they did for me.

Review: I gave [redacted][does chrome plating]2 Indian motorcycle fork lowers to be chrome plated on 11-6-14.He said since they were so nice[highly polished] they would be done on 11-13-14.I told him these were not available anymore if damaged or lost[I have a witness]he said don't worry he does these all the time. After several calls from me,he finally said they were finished and would ship them after I paid the 180.00 plus 20.00 shipping [2 weeks late 11-25-14].I received them overnight in an undamaged box.Upon opening, there was 1 leaking some kind of fluid[from the chroming process]that damaged the finish and many flaws and areas of no chrome on both parts.[I have pictures and witnesses] I immediately called [redacted] and he said no way they were "PERFECT" when he shipped them the night before. He said he personally did them and shipped them and basically called me a liar[he remembered because he had to redo 1 of them because of flaws]They are 3 1/2 hours away and after the delays and personal attack on me,I will not let him touch these again.I am in the process of seeing if these are destroyed[this is a 10,000.00 bike]Desired Settlement: I am sure I'm not the only one who has been ripped off by this crook, and should be paid back and apologized to.If you don't have multiple complaints on this business I would be surprised.I am also going to pursue them for any additional costs [time, redo, replace, court costs]they are causing me.I am 58 years old and have never been had to take someone to court until now,but this could be very costly to fix.
The owner promised to have an item re-chromed by a certain date. I went back 3 times after that date and the item was still not completed. The work was not done as promised. The owner held the item and demanded $30 to release it. The owner was rude and unprofessional. There was another customer behind me in line and after observing the owner's behavior they left, due to the owner's swearing and unprofessional demeanor.
