This is not a complaint that falls within the scope of the Revdex.comThis is a pending legal case between *** *** and Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac.Customer executed a legal binding contract, that the dealership has the right to enforceWhether the interpretation of the contract favors the Kohlers or the dealership's position is a matter for the legal system to decide, not the Revdex.comWe will soon decide upon our three choicesFile suit for the balance of the 5% penalty due, Inform the Kohlers that we are keeping the $1,deposit or agree to return the $1,deposit as a good will gestureThank You
I am responding to a customer concern that was forwarded to
me regarding a Michael *** and the purchase of his GMC Sierra
The customer references and your letter was written to
Palmen Motors, 75th street, Kenosha, WIPlease note
that Palmen Motors was not the selling or
servicing dealer involved with this
transactionThe vehicle was purchased at Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac, 74th
place, Kenosha, WI
In direct response to Mr*** concerns and statements:
1. Mr
*** repeatedly states that this vehicle is a CERTIFIED used carThis is not
the case and nowhere does it say this was a certified vehicleGeneral Motors
offers their certified program on vehicles up to years old onlyThe vehicle
Mr*** purchased was over years old
2. All
of the needed parts, history codes and comments Mr*** references in his
letter relate directly to the anti-lock braking system (ABS) not being
operationalMr*** was very aware before he purchased the vehicle that the
ABS system was inoperable and that we would not be repairing the systemThe
salesperson, Shawn Haas clearly told the customer the ABS system was not
working and that we would not be repairing it, due to the cost involvedIt is
also noted on the Wisconsin Buyers guide that the ABS light remains on
3. Mr
*** references “lines to pump / valve are rusty and may break when removed,
multiple lines may be needed”This is the exact condition that every year
old pick- up truck driven on Wisconsin roads experiencesThe note is meant to
warn customers that sometimes parts break when removed for the first time in
years
4. When
Mr*** was informed the ABS system was inoperable, and that we would not be
repairing it, he could have had the vehicle independently inspected OR just
pass on the purchase
Due to the age of the vehicle and the fact that Mr***
made the decision to purchase the vehicle with an inoperable ABS system, we
cannot offer to repair the ABS system
In the pursuit of customer satisfaction we will offer Mr
*** the opportunity to bring back the GMC Sierra and receive full
credit for the purchase price towards any new or used vehicle on the lot (minus
registration and dealer services fees)
Thank You

Good morning. I am responding to [redacted] assertions that she was unaware of the effectives dates of the service contract she purchased on March 28, 2012. [redacted] was well aware of the dates this warranty was in effect. In the two attached documents you will see that the in service date is clearly...
noted on the service contract.; The attached menu CLEARLY shows that the warranty dates were disclosed as 60 months from the vehicle original in service date and is clearly noted coverage expires on April 21, 2016. [redacted] clearly initialed next to this disclosure and signed the document. When [redacted] purchased the vehicle, she insisted on a "wrap" warranty. It was explained to her that this type of warranty would duplicate her existing coverage for the first year of ownership and would have a different ending date than the factory warranty it was "wrapping". It was explained to her prior to purchase which is shown by the menu that she initialed and signed. During a phone call with Ms. [redacted] acknowledged she had purchased a wrap that had begun on the original in service date and that she was aware of that date. On the phone call [redacted] also mentioned she thought she had a 6 year warranty. Our Chrysler dealership discounted her repair from the estimated $2100 to just $500.I am sorry that [redacted] doesn't recall the particulars of her original warranty purchase, but it was clearly explained to her. I am glad that we have the documents to show this point.[redacted]
Your Revdex.com complaint was received regarding Mr. [redacted] and his request for a refund of $1000. Mr. [redacted], our General Manager is currently out of town and he is requesting that he respond to this complaint upon his return on Monday, August 10, 2015. He is familiar with the...
complaint and has previous met with Mr. [redacted].
I have read the complaint and its accusations of dealer fraud. The facts will prove that this transaction was in no way fraudulent.Ms. [redacted] accuses us of falsifying records and selling a vehicle that was not actual miles disclosed. This is not truthful. The first item I have attached is the...
AutoCheck vehicle history report on this vehicle. AutoCheck is owned and operated by Experian, the worlds largest credit reporting agency.Auto check is used by a very large number of dealers in the country. AutoCheck rates this vehicle a 90 out of 100, with similar vehicles scoring 75-85. Autocheck certifies the odometer checks out and the vehicle is eligible for AutoCheck's buyback protection guarantee. The second item is the Wisconsin vehicle odometer statement which shows the actual mileage at the time the vehicle was traded into Palmen Buick GMC. The customer and dealer representative both verify the miles as actual.I am also including a copy of the title from the State of Illinois showing the correct miles on this vehicle. We are in complete adherence with all State laws regarding verifying and disclosing used car vehicle mileage. What Ms. [redacted]'s complaint is referring to, is the mileage reported on the vehicle when the State of Illinois issued a title on the vehicle September 2015. The State inadvertently issued the title showing mileage at 8,284.This was a minor clerical mistake by the State of Illinois. The customer requested and was issued a corrected title with the correct miles on it. The mileage history of this vehicle from inception September 2006 till the current date is consistent and accurate, with the one exception of the clerical mistake September 2015. Which was legally corrected before Ms. [redacted] purchased the vehicle.Ms. [redacted] states we never offered to show her the CarFax on the vehicle. This is a non-serious complaint. Firstly we don't utilize CarFax nor have access to their reporting. Secondly, we offer free AutoCheck links online for all our used cars. We want an informed customer. Third, there is no legal requirement we provide a CarFax report. In conclusion, we have sold this vehicle with transparency and complete adherence to the law. I am sorry Ms. [redacted] is suffering buyers remorse but her demands for repurchase of the vehicle in question, based on a legally corrected title being issued are without any merit.Sincerely,Ralph [redacted]Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac[redacted]
Review: On 7/16/15 we signed a motor vehicle purchase contract and paid requested down payment to Palmen. No financing information was given on that day. We asked for financing information from sales associate Steve Williams on July 17 & 18 and followup voice mail. Never rec'd any financing details from Palmen. We had inquired about having trailering package added to vehicle and requested warranty info on that -- never received that either. On July 21 after waiting for 4 days for requested info, we decided we did not want to continue to purchase vehicle because of poor service and no financing details ever received. We called and told sales associate we were cancelling contract per our right as listed on contract. Terms state "financing through dealer on terms "Acceptable to you. (purchaser)" Asked associate for return of down-payment which sales associate had stated earlier was refundable. He said we needed to come down with our credit card to process refund back to our account. On July 22 we went to Palmen to get refund started. Sales associate was not in but we were informed we would not be getting our down-payment back and would need to meet with general manager. On July 23 we met with general manager [redacted] at which time he stated we were not getting down-payment back and at end of discussion he stated he might consider pursuing penalty above down-payment. We consulted our attorney. Attorney drafted letter to Mr [redacted], citing regulations of Wisconsin Department of Transportation WI Trans 139.05(2)(j) and 139.055 which lists our right to cancel without fee or penalty and that down-payment shall be refunded within 1 business day to purchaser. Letter included additional written cancellation. Letter was delivered to Pamen and acknowledge by Mr [redacted] onThursday, July 30. He confirmed receipt of letter and stated he had not decided on what he would be doing. We have heard nothing since that day regarding the refund of the down-payment.Desired Settlement: Seeking return from Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac dealership of Kenosha of our $1000.00 down-payment paid on a vehicle purchase contract that has been cancelled by us per our right as listed in Wisconsin Dept of Transportation regulations and no further action to be taken against us by Palmen.

Response:
This is not a complaint that falls within the scope of the Revdex.com. This is a pending legal case between [redacted] and Palmen Buick GMC Cadillac.Customer executed a legal binding contract, that the dealership has the right to enforce. Whether the interpretation of the contract favors the Kohlers or the dealership's position is a matter for the legal system to decide, not the Revdex.com. We will soon decide upon our three choices. 1. File suit for the balance of the 5% penalty due, 2. Inform the Kohlers that we are keeping the $1,000 deposit or 3. agree to return the $1,000 deposit as a good will gesture. Thank You
Palmens charged me $80.00 to change to brake light bulbs in the back of my car. I called another dealership and asked them what they would charge ,and they said about $15.00 a piece to install . I feel like I was charged a ridiculous amount for about 10 minutes labor and $5.00 bulbs .
Review: I bought a pre-owned CERTIFIED GMC Sierra 1500 truck on May 14, 2015. On July 3, 2015 started having trouble with brakes; brake light went on. Took truck back to Palmen Motors service Dept on July 7, 2015.
Service dept report shows that "700 needs EBCM, ABS pump, both front wheel speed sensors, and mast cylinder. 568 CTR. ..75060 inspect for brakes making a grinding noise and now brake light is on. brake pedal low, sinks with no visible leaks and both brake and ABS lights are on. Bring vehicle into shop and check with scan tool. current codes CO 267 pump motor circuit open/short. History codes: CO226 LF wheel speed sensor (WSS) no signals. CO222 RF WSS no signal. CO 227 LF WSS erratic. CO 225 LF WSS open. Run diagnostic check and follow chart for CO 267 code. After several checks I Discovered the pump motor connector (from ECBM to pump motor) cut off and the wires spliced with spade terminals. The motor B+ was connected but the motor ground wire was disconnected. I hooked up the ground wire and the pump runs constant. Vehicle requires ECBM, motor/valve assembly, 2 front wheel sensors and a master cylinder with complete system bleed.LINES GOING TO PUMP/VALVE ARE VERY RUSTY AND MAY COME OFF WITHOUT BREAKING. CAR MAY REQUIRE MULTIPLE LINE TOO."
THIS SERVICE INSPECTION WAS DONE BY PALMEN MOTORS SERVICE DEPT.
IF THIS VEHICLE WAS CERTIFIED, IT STANDS TO REASON THAT THESE PROBLEMS WOULD HAVE BEEN FOUND BEFORE IT WAS PUT UP FOR SALE. I, THEREFORE, CONTEND THAT PALMEN IS NOT STANDING UP TO THEIR REPUTATION OF A REPUTABLE AUTO DEALER. THEY ARE SELLING AUTOS
WITH FALSE CERTIFICATIONS PUTTING THE LIVES Of THEIR CLIENTELE IN DANGER. I trusted that this vehicle was certified as being safe to operate and put the lives of my family and others in danger. I feel that these issues should be resolved by Palmen Motors because they erroneously sold a vehicle with a false certification. I did not buy this vehicle "AS IS." I bought this vehicle because it was certified as being in safe and dependable working order.
This service inspection was done by Palmen Motors own Service Department by [redacted], Service Advisor. The same service department by whom, I assume, their certifications are done. This is not the conduct of a reputable auto dealership who supposedly deals with their consumers with integrity and a moral conscience for their safety and well being by dealing with only well inspected and certified vehicles.
Palmen Motors says this is not covered by their warranty. I do not feel this a warranty issue. It is an issue of false advertising and falsely claiming this vehicle was certified and ready for sale.Desired Settlement: I feel Palmen Motors should live up to their claim of a reputable auto dealership of selling CERTIFIED vehicles and put this vehicle in the condition that it was certified to be in before it was sold.
