Contract attached. In rebuttal to Ed Halbig's response,Ed's statement is unfortunately entirely dishonestHe was arrogant and had multiple 'fits' because I pointed out several things that needed to be done, which he was being lazy about, which included taking light switch and power outlet covers off, picture hangers off of the walls, as well as smoke detectors and thermostats in order to paintHe stated that we would never move them anyway, and they were completely unnecessary to paint underneathWe were going to remodel the rooms painted by him, which included moving pictures, wireless smoke detectors and thermostats, and changing out the outlet and switch coversHe used profanity and yelled at me when I asked him to remove them to paintHe was completely unprofessional, and I felt threatened by himMy formal couches in the living room were pushed to the middle of the room and covered entirely with a plastic tarp, which Ed maliciously got paint on, no where near where he was paintingHe was paid to paint the entire foyer, however the ceiling was never painted, neither was the trimIn the rush to do the job quickly, He left the chandelier hanging by the wires; his female coworker painted over debris on the baseboard heaters in both rooms, (a huge concern in the formal living room, as a large spot that needed to be scraped or sanded off prior to painting and needs to be redone properly)He never bothered to fill in a large crack in the formal living room wall, which he said he would do by filling it in, sanding it, and painting over it and promised that we wouldn't be able to see the crack when they were doneHe just had it painted overThere are many spots where he put tape and painted over it, and it looks horrendous, as well as uneven and missed spotsI am permanently and completely disabled and was here alone at the end of the job; Ed demanded to be paid and did not allow me to examine anything, he wanted to be paid and leaveHe was angry because there were other painting and remodeling jobs in my home that he was not hired forHe stopped painting in a place on our wall which was beyond the agreed stopping point, to ensure that he would be the one hired for the job to paint the upstairs of my homeAfter he painted past the point of agreement, I informed him that we were not going to have him paint the upstairs of my home and that I had hired someone else, this was after the first coat of paint he did past the stop point on the wall, which is what I think sent him into an oblivious rageHe was contacted many many times? after the job completion by phone, by text, and by picture text as well asking him to fix his mistakesHe denied all requests to returnI have been very hesitant to speak up and file a complaint because I felt so threatened by his hostility when he was in my home that I even felt that I may have needed to call the police while he was thereHe did not show ANY customer service and professionalismSince he was paid for work that he didn't do, I feel that he owes me a refund, or someone else can come and finish the work properlyThank you very much[redacted]
