The employee, aside from being at the end of his workday and about 2 hours away from home on a Saturday afternoon, did not read the manufacturer's installation specifications correctly. The manufacturer required a 30 inch wide opening; the contractor indicated a 30 1/8 inch opening, requiring extensive and costly alterations to our cabinets which have a 30 inch wide opening. He said that his company could do the cabinet alterations.
Further, he measured the cabinet opening depth, concluding it to be 25 3/4 inches. My tape measure indicates a depth of 25 1/4 inches.
