Attached is a copy of the email trail between myself and [redacted] The body of the email contains a summary of all hours worked and rates charged I emailed repeat copies of all invoices to Mr [redacted] on December 7, Mr [redacted] was chronically late in paying his bills Apparently he has a good imagination too It has been many years since our bookkeeping rate was $50; at least a decade, and probably more Our current advertised rate is $80, though we don’t charge all clients this much We are careful to mail notices of rate changes to our bookkeeping and payroll clients Our rates are published on the pricing page of our websitehttp://www[redacted] .com/ [redacted] You will see that the starting rate charged to Mr [redacted] was $per hour That rate was increased to $per hour in July of Every invoice he received, from the first to the last, showed the rate he was charged At no point was the rate $ In fact, the rate was $for the first year and then was increased to $in July of We charge an hourly rate for time spent servicing each client Mr [redacted] routinely didn't pay his bills and then would be irate when we refused additional services until he paid them It was not uncommon of him to demand my staff spend time re-generating old bills that he lost More recently he demanded copies of all past bills Our staff put time into this exercise and then billed him for the time it took He then called and derided my staff over the phone, wasting even more of our time, but managing to get the $time charge for regenerating these bills removedPlease review the [redacted] reviews for Mr [redacted] 's own business for a better understanding of this man [redacted] Referencing the response from Mr [redacted] shown in the attached email, you will note that Mr [redacted] states, "When I first talked to Sandee she told me that the rates went from $to $and they never had charged $per hour" Mr [redacted] is a poor listener I have asked SanDee about his statement She responded, "that is not the conversation we had" Regarding the accusation that our prices went from $- $overnight, SanDee told Mr [redacted] , "that would not happen." Finally, Mr [redacted] 's email to me states that we made it difficult for him to pay his bills because we don't have an online payment system While it is true that we don't have an online payment system, our other bookkeeping and payroll clients seem to be able to pay our invoices in a timely manner We accept check and credit card Some clients call in with credit card information and pay over the phone, others mail checks, and still others use automatic bill pay with their banks Mr [redacted] 's inability to organize his business affairs and pay his bills on time is no one's fault but his own
