Review: PBG Electric was hired to fix and repair/update unsafe electrical issues in our house in [redacted], including replacing the electrical box and prepare a connection for a 200 amp line. The contractor deliberately failed to obtain a permit from the Building Department, which was discovered upon inspection by the [redacted] Building Department. His work did not pass inspection because among other things, the electric box was left unmarked and because he left the 200 amp wire connection dangling from the side of the house, according to the building inspector. When my wife contacted the contractor he tried to tell her that she was supposed to pull the permit, which was not the case according to the [redacted] building inspector. He was completely unapologetic about the substandard work he had performed, and so far we are out the money we paid him, plus we have to hire another electrical contractor to do the work so that it can pass inspection. We are very disappointed with the work of this contractor and believe that he took money from us without doing the proper work and without pulling a permit.Desired Settlement: We would like to be refunded the $2,300 dollars we paid to the contractor because his work did not pass inspection. We do NOT wish for him to return and do any future work for us.
