The Chiropractor at this office, DrGenene Prado, is advertising a safe, fast weight loss program called the Nutrimost Ultimate Fat Loss ProgramIt is being marketed as this "amazing new technology, etc." It very expensive & when I asked her for details including price and what the diet looks like on a practical basis, she was very vagueTwice she said "it varies, depending on the person." When the consultation was over, I was given the choice to fill out a credit report and make payments or pay cash up front for a 10% discountSo much for variation depending on the personBottom line, this program costs over $and that doesn't include all the organic products they tell you to buy to "rid your body of fats and oils" for days (which ran me an extra $400)They don't tell you that you will be drinking a ozsupplemental mixture daily, cooking your own fat free food from scratch, mixing, weighing and measuring, etcI may as well have done Weight WatchersThe supplements & diet completely changed my metabolismI am years old, and began having a menstrual cycle as well as daily, debilitating crampsI asked for their help times, and complied with their instructions, including a ridiculous suggestion to increase my "spinach and tomato intake." The cramping continuedAlthough I lost some weight, I was forced to take Advil for the cramps, taking me out of fat burningI also had to stop the supplements and SURPRISE - my cramping ceased within hours, totally disappearing within hoursWhen I called the office they told me that this had happened in "a handful of cases" and that I should "go to your regular doctor since these symptoms could not be related to the Nutrimost program." I have not had any problems since discontinuing their supplementsI wrote an email to DrPrado, detailing that though I'd signed a contract, my symptoms were not my fault and kindly asked for a pro-rated refund (not even half the money I spent)The reply by DrPrado was " I'm going out of town but I will review your file & "I want you to know I will work with you on this." This reply gave me hope that they would refund me at least a portion of the feeTwo weeks later, after not hearing from DrPrado I wrote another emailWhen I inquired about whether or not she had reviewed my file, I received a standard staff reply, stating they were sorry but I had signed a contract and "DrPrado must abide by the Nutrimost Corporate rules." They then had the audacity to tell me to "you were losing weight", and "your health has improved," and incredibly, "we suggest you give the products another try." My health has improved? Really? My chief complaint is that DrPrado knew I had signed a contract as I had stated in my emailSo why did she reply "I will work with you on this?" Typical CYAI later discovered she has been disciplined by the State Board of Chiropractors, three times, once for advertisingYou bet she wanted me to think she would work with me on this, because she didn't want to get sued, or get a bad reviewI should have known better than to pay before I got answers but I was feeling desperate to lose the weight and get healthyI feel like DrPrado took advantage of meI gave her the benefit of the doubt and that was my first mistakeThe second was not doing my research about this chiropractor before I signed on the dotted lineI actually thought she might do the right thing, but no cigar Money talks much louder
