She had complained previously regardingthe red ants. We had our extermination company, [redacted] determine her ants were pharaoh ants. The treatment for these Insectsis 6 biweekly treatments where the resident has to move their tems from their cabinets so that all areas can be treated. This treatment was supposed to wort.Thelast ticket/complaint written for the ants was on November 11,2015. Apparently the treatment worked as she did not complain again until the following year. Resident came in on October 26,2016 and complained that she still hasthe ants.(These ants are prevalent in colder months)..We contacted the manager of [redacted] Exterminators and told her that the resident has the ants again. She stated that they will use a special heav er treatment for her apartment. We began the new treatments on November 2, 2016. During the treatment,a [redacted] exterminator did note resident was prepared but her k tchen was "messy.• The next round of treatments will be on November 16,2016 where the exterminators willalsoinspect and treat all surrounding units for the Pharaohants. We had not treated any other units as we had not had any neighbors around her complainof ants. This treatment will involve allsurrounding ne ghborsto prep and have the same b weekly treatment as Ms.[redacted].
Unfortunately, these areinsects and we do treat forthem, but we have to deal with many different obstacles. Residents need to be prepared for thetreatments and they must keep good housekeeping to maintain aninsect free home. We have a contract with the exterminators so they come out weekly to service any insect complaints. We have done everythingthe exterminators have told us to do. As for Ms.[redacted]'s deposit refund-that will be determined upon her move out. She must have a zero balance on her unit account as well as no damages to the unit (no carpet stains, countertop damage, drywall damage, unit cleaned etc.•).If she has fulfilled these requirements, her $99.00 deposit will be refunded infull to her. Sincerely,
Janet K[redacted] Property Manager Csrlton Apartments
