*** is a registered technician and the owner is the licenses holder, you do not have to be "licensed" to be a technicianPlease refer to TDLR's link below and read those requirements
https://www.tdlr.texas.gov/acr/acrfaq.htm#ACRTechnician
The service call is to diagnose the problem, if a
repair was required the is absorbed into the job rate, which was APPROVED by the customer in the this casePlease see attached text message between *** and I verifying the approval from *** ***
Our fee is "fair" with our competitors around townWe did give her a ballpark break down of how we come up with our job rates, but she just did not want to pay the $no matter how you explained it to herThere was no pleasing this ladyThe job cost breakdown was providedIn turn the customer choose to pay what she thought was a "reasonable" fee and not the actual chargers
We cut the low voltage wires to prevent damage to her unit in the event that someone tried to start it without the motor after we removed the one we installedAll another technician would have to do is reconnect them when installing the new motor
We did not return her old motor because we did not have itwe do not keep old non- working parts after dayssee the attached letter she sent to us, that was written days after service was preformedWe did not receive the request to reduce the charge for days after service was preformed
In closing as for the $charge it included the cost of the motor, time and effort to purchase the motor, fuel, the service call, salary for the technician, warranty reserve, knowledge, skill and the 2nd trip we made out there to please her tenantNo business could operate at "cost" as she thought was suitable for payment

Subject: Re: Revdex.com of Houston and South Texas- Complaint regarding Your Business #[redacted]

Sorry please use this response. My auto correct is messing me up:)

Thanks.

She sent a check for $159.00 when the charge for the job was $395.00. She believed that's what the job was worth. We called her and told her we would not take that amount for payment and that she needed to pay the 395.00 or we would remove the motor. She then told us she was going stop payment on the check. We gave them  (her renter and herself)  24 hrs to resolve the payment issue. She still refused to pay the full amount, so we voided the check and removed our part we installed.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.

Subject: Complaint # [redacted]

I did NOT receive the reply from this complaint and I have NO un read emails.  Therefore, I pulled the response of 9 23 14 from the history section of the file.

Please re open the complaint as I have not been able to respond.

1.  Please have business send documents of [redacted] being a registered technician.  The HVAC licensing board found no such evidence.

2.  When I called the company they advised me of a $59.00 service call.  I assumed a service call was a service call NOT a diagnostic only call.  They DID NOT ADVISE ME OF THIS.  Instead they did a bait and switch in which they should be forced to change their advertising.

3.  I asked for a breakdown of charges.  It was never provided to me.  Please have them provide a cost for part and a cost for labor.  THEY DID NOT PROVIDE THIS.  Please provide wholesale cost of part.

4.  I did not pre approve the amount of $395 and would like to see texts they are referring to.

5.  It is their problem they do not have old motor, I am requesting it.

6.  The cost installed a defective motor and was forced to replace it.  What are they talking about they did this to please my tenant?

7.  I can NOT stay in business paying $395.00 for a part that retails for less than $100.00.  They act like I am supposed to pay several hundred dollars per hour in labor but don't want to admit that this is what they are charging.

I would like all the above questions answered and verifications of requested item.
