I apologize for the late response, as I received the notification on 12/ I have worked for the complainant since and we agreed on pricing for lawn maintenance and fertilizer at that point Since that time, I have not increased prices and he paid for the agreed services until the last few months The costs that were agreed to are $for a cut, $per fertilizer application and $for a clean up which had to be agreed upon in advance I have always been patient with him with his payments as he was often late I recently sent him a summary of all of the services which reflects the prices that were agreed upon When I didn't receive payment, I reached out to discuss a solution and was not given an opportunity to review the invoice to help him understand, he said he would not pay the bill on the due date to which I let him know I would need to attempt to recover the monies owed via small claims court if it wasn't paid, and I was then hung up on I take a lot of pride in ensuring my customers are happy and it's unfortunate that this has gotten to this point, but I attempted to resolve this issue with no cooperation from the customer Should you need any details of the services, please let me know Sincerely, [redacted] [redacted] Northeast Ohio Lawn Services, LLC

In response to the customer’s accusations, below is my rebuttal. First, in response to not showing up to service the property for two months, I was instructed to do so by the customer for the following reasons: a)      The customer was building a large garage in the back yard and had commercial vehicles parked on both the front and back lawns which prevented me from servicing the property. b)      A severe drought and heat wave. I discussed both items with the customer, and was instructed to hold off on servicing the property during this time period. Second, with regards to the accusations that my work caused dead areas on the customer’s property due to over- fertilizing, I would rebuttal that with the following: a)      The back lawn was never fertilized based on customers request, therefore, there are no issues I am aware of. b)      The front lawn is half sod which was installed incorrectly by the customer and was not maintained properly which caused it to have dead spots which have been there the entire period of time that I have serviced the property. c)      The fertilizer that I used is a slow release formula that is chemically designed to protect the grass from burning.  The only adverse effect of over-fertilizing is extreme grass growth.  Additionally, the reason for postponing the fertilizing was due to an extreme heat wave and rain drought throughout the summer.  Any licensed professional who applies pesticides knows the fertilizer should not be applied during periods of high heat and a lack of rain. The accusations listed are false and the work that was done was agreed upon with the customer.  I would welcome the customer to send a sample of his lawn to [redacted] Department of Agriculture (at his own cost) for an evaluation.  Should any issues be a direct effect of my work, I would be happy to readdress a solution with the customer. Finally, as of 10/5/15, an unlicensed (under that table) contractor was hired to service this property, therefore I am not responsible for any issues that may have arisen following that date.
