Delay of repairs and replacement of damaged items in new home within one year warranty. Appointments not kept by them.
Purchased a townhouse from North Ridge Developments on May 7.2019, moved in August 16.2019, have since had a multitude of problems with *** (customer service) as the only contact person. Still waiting for the 2 day quality assurance report that was to be forwarded August 16.2019. Many discrepancies once moved in for a few days, some have been dealt with, some still waiting to be repaired and replaced. Multiple appointments set up with workers not showing up and no notification of cancellation. For one appointment booked for November 12th I was later told by ***' assistant that *** herself emailed the worker, told him to go to another home, not to go to mine. This was later confirmed by the worker. July 13th 6 month check - appointment set up - again no worker showed up and no notification.
Finally went in person to Northridge offices to speak with someone about this - *** was there and we met to set up 1 year check. *** Told her the problems that needed to be repaired and replaced. She refused to give me workers' contact information to ensure the next appointment would occur, booked for August 14th last day before 1 year mark.
Washer and dryer rattles/rocks/bangs and bounces around in laundry room to the point of blocking the door. I am a senior and cannot move a washing machine and dryer. She later sent an email stating I would be contacted by *** who would repair/replace as they are under a 1 year warranty. They did not contact me so I went to the store on July 31st - still no replacement or repair has been set up by them.
Front door and garage door snow and rain coming in between slats I door and 6 - 10" on garage floor and 2 - 3 " in entrance need to be replaced.
All windows and door sills and hardware need replacing and repaired to fit properly. Ensuite door and shower repair. Heat registers need securing in ceiling. Patio doors need adjustment - snow and frost in winter, moisture in spring and fall causing damage.
Electric panel, insulation and vapour barrier in unfinished spaces according to their home service report but not done.
Lower patio damage includes cracks and is sloped to house - water is draining toward foundation instead of away from foundation, producing large pools of water. Edging upper deck falling off.
I have video and photos.
Repair and/or replace damaged items as per your warranty. Make appointments and keep appointments. I would prefer to deal with someone other than *** going forward.
We are more than happy to complete all the warranty items that we have been made aware of.
There was only one appointment that we did not keep due to Covid-19 and we did call and text the customer to cancel the appointment.
The customer was not home for her one year warranty appointment, but she can contact *** to reschedule her appointment.
