Jay's [POOR] Quality Tree Service The other guys said that Jay's is not reliable That is correct The only appointment that Jay showed up to when he said he would was when he gave me the bid to do the work I got one other bid to do the work They were both basically the same so I went with Jay as he was the first one to give me a quote, and he seemed honest & nice enough It went downhill from then on Jay, & his sidekick, said they would both be doing the work I never saw either one of them on the job again Their crews never showed up on time, and sometimes did not come all day One day the crew had been dropped off at my house & both of their chain saws broke No one came to help them so they could do nothing for half of the day Some of the guys were very hard workers Others were not While I was looking out of a window, one of them who was covered with sawdust stuck his head in the pool to cool off, looked up to see if anyone was watching & then proceeded to wash off his neck & arms in the pool Two of them were smoking marijuana and one of them operated a chainsaw while he was high; not good or safe for anyone Jay's was supposed to protect my property and clean everything up, including the sawdust, before they left They broke my neighbor's fence & my fence in several places, one of our large flowerpots, the light outside of our garage door and our gutters were literally destroyed They dropped & drug large tree branches on our roof, scraping off the roof surface and destroyed our large fire pit Funny, when the guy dropped the branch on our flower pot he said "if we break something we fix it." Needless to say, they ruined a lot of stuff and never fixed anything When they left my place it looked like a bomb had exploded They left large branches I could not move by myself There was cut wood & sawdust everywhere The fence section they removed for easy access was not reinstalled & was very dangerous as small kids could fall in the pool In the end, my yard and parts of my house were destroyed After almost a month of calling Jay, who never returned my calls, & his wife who is the owner of the business (one time I spoke with her she said she was in court & couldn't talk) I finally left messages on all of their phones, that I had had enough and would take care of things myself if I did not hear from them by the weekend I never heard a word from them of course, so this is part of my effort to take care of things myself & hopefully help you out as well I am really surprised they have stayed in business They have the worst business principles I have ever seen If for some reason after you read this you are still ignorant enough to use Jay's POOR Quality Tree Service, do NOT pay them before the job is completed The guy leading the crew asked for money prior to the work being done I paid them up front a couple of times & was stupid enough to pay them in full the day before they promised to come back to do the final work & clean up They did not come back I'll admit, I was ignorant, but it won't happen again

I originally called this company on 9-21-for a Free Estimate on some tree trimming and tree removal work I need at my home The woman answering the phone scheduled me for an appointment on Friday 9-25-between & 2PM After 2:45pm I called the office to see why no one had shown up as scheduled I was told the person that does the estimates was out in the field and she would call him and get back with me Sometime after 4pm I called back to see what was going on The woman told me that when she tried calling the "estimator" his phone was busy and now it was too late in the day Then she asked if I wanted to set up a time on Saturday 9-26-15, which I told her I would prefer not Then she told me she would be working Saturday and would call me to set up an apointment for Monday 9-28- On Monday I called and asked why I had not received a call to schedule another appointment She claimed she had called and left a message on my answering service There was no message, but I didn't want to argue about it I asked when would be the next time someone could come out to give me an estimate She told me Tuesday 9-29-between & 3pm I agreed Tuesday after waiting until 4pm I called and asked where the guy was, as it was past the agreed upon time The woman told me that everyone had gone home because of the rain and they don't work in the rain I asked why I hadn't received a call telling me that earlier (I had better things to do than wait around a second time) She told me it was because she had just gotten to in the office minutes before I called To me this is totally an unacceptable way to run a business I was stood up twice and neither time did I receive (what should be a standard) courtesy call advising me that no one was going to be able to meet the scheduled commitment Had I not initiated the calls to find out that no one was coming, I would still be waiting and wondering what happened Needless to say, I will not be making a 3rd attempt to do business with this outfit If the outside employees are as lax and inconsiderate as the office help I'm sure I'm better offlooking elsewhere

5/6/2016 This was the third time I had Jay's Quality Tree Service cut and trim trees. Jay gave me a good price and his crew did an excellent job as always. I like doing business with Jay because it's always just a hand shake, not a lengthy contract, and he does what he promises. I always recommend Jay to anyone who asks me about someone do do tree work.

This company is phenomenal. The guys are professional and super productive. They came out on a Saturday and saved me from an emergency situation. Not to mention the prices are the best in town! If your looking for quality work call Jays Quality Tree Service!!!
