Norco Brake & Alignment Reviews (1)

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/02/16) */
In June 2015 [redacted] brought in his vehicle for a service engine soon light & an overheating issue. His sister is a good friend to [redacted] the business owner. The car was inspected & found to have multiple cylinder misfires & possible...

coolant leak. At this point, he was contacted & presented with the first step in repair, to replace spark plugs on misfiring cylinders. He wanted to try this first since it was the least expensive repair & the fastest. Since he had to return back home, out of state as soon as possible. Once the vehicle was torn down to repair, more severe issues were found. Compression was being lost & water was intruding into the cylinder heads. He was contacted again & advised of situation at which time he revealed the car had overheated on the grapevine on the way down here to Southern California. He told us at this time that he had to fly back home & wanted to leave the truck with Norco Brake & Alignment while it was repaired. He did not have the money for all the repairs at the time & requested approval to make monthly payments, & also that he would have a portion of the money in roughly a month.
He said there was no rush to finish repairs. He was advised of the total cost, what exactly was being done, & what parts were being replaced. He was completely agreeable on everything. It was $2200.00 in total, not $2300.00 as Mr. [redacted] had stated. When the car was picked up the agreement between the parties was that the bill was paid off. The invoices would be mailed to him. Which they were very quickly. As far as I was concerned all was done. However, in January of 2016, I received a call & an envelope from Mr. [redacted] stating that he never received any invoices & that he may have given us the wrong address. I told him I would have to locate the old invoice & transpose it to a new one & mail it out to him. Then here we are in February, two weeks later, & he already is making a claim to Revdex.com. Also, to answer his statement about his car having minor issues, to this day it has never been brought to my attention or mentioned. Personally I find this to be a personal attack on our business. We have a 1year/12,000 mile warranty on all work. Plus, I feel taken advantage of due to the fact we were helping a friend's family member in need & let him make payments, in which is not a normal practice in our business. I feel we bent over backwards for Mr. [redacted], & really went above & beyond.
The above is true & factual to my knowledge.
Thank you very much,
Sincerely, [redacted]
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/02/17) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I don't live out of state, I live in northern California like the address is indicated on the inovice. I never received a complete itemized list of what I paid for. I never gave [redacted] the wrong address nor ever stated I gave him the wrong address. I know that [redacted] is busy so I sent him a self addressed stamped envelope hoping that would prompt him to send me the paperwork I needed.yes I stand corrected it was $2200 that I paid for my truck to be repaired with that kind of money being spent I should have received an invoice months ago. On 02/16/2016 I just got a glimpse of what I paid for because [redacted] sent the paperwork to my brother. So I can say now that I have reviewed it that the workmanship was what I paid for but I had to put off selling my truck and trying to sue the person that sold me the vehicle because the time limitations ran out. I paid $3400 for a truck the broke down on me a week later and I needed the paperwork from [redacted] stating everything that went wrong with my truck I even explained that to him. But now it months later and I'm still waiting for the paperwork to come in the mail.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2016/02/28) */
I mailed the paper copy. Mr. [redacted] should have definitely received it by now. Yes I did send his brother a copy via the Internet to give to him for me because I wanted him to be able to receive it as fast as possible. The mail takes a little longer. I apologize for the unfortunate confusion in address & the fact that it therefore took longer to reach you. That was indeed never my intention.
Thanks again.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 11, 2016/02/29) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I'm am satisfied that I have the itemized list of the repairs of my vehicle.
