We inquired about a property this company had for rent. I originally informed them that we did not want to complete an application prior to knowing if anyone had already submitted an application as we did not want to throw away $60.00 if someone else had already applied. We were informed to go ahead and submit the application and that there were no other applicants. We submitted onlu after to find out that there were others who submitted after us. We were then informed (not prior) that this company was not a first come first serve company. After complaining about this issue they offered to refund some of what we paid. I agreed to this and awaited the refund which has still not come. I sent an email last week requesting status as it has now been well over a month and the employees there will not return my emails.Product_Or_Service: Rental applicationDesired SettlementI would like to see the refund for the application fee as we were promised.Business Response When [redacted] contacted New Dimensions about our property for rent, she did inquire if there were any other applicants. At that time [redacted] was told there were no other applicants for the property but we do not consider applicants on a first come first serve basis, we chose the potential tenant that is the best fit for the property. [redacted] chose to apply. When paying for the application fee, our website CLEARLY states: "Please be prepared to pay the non-refundable application fee as outlined in the property listing."Processing ANY potential tenant and performing the necessary credit and background check is a cost to our company. We have a fiduciary relationship with the owner to screen ALL potential applicants. Without an application, credit and background check [redacted] would not even have been considered for the property. Unfortunately, after reviewing all applicants including [redacted] the owner chose someone who was a better fit for the property. We offered to apply [redacted]' application fees to any of our other available properties. [redacted] stated that, "Unfortunately there is nothing else on your website that shows as available that will fit our family and accept our dog in Sparks within our price range." In an email dated September 3, 2015 we offered to refund a "PORTION" of [redacted]' application fees. We never heard back from her until an email correspondence dated September 29, 2015, asking why we had not deposited the money into her bank account. This is not our normal practice. [redacted] would have needed to come into our office and pick up any monies that we offered to refund. The next communication we received was her complaint to the Revdex.com which was delivered to an incorrect email and then finally forwarded to us 10/19/15.We are still willing to refund [redacted] $20.00 but she needs to come into the office and pick it up.Sincerely,[redacted]Member/OwnerNew Dimensions I, Ltd.5301 Longley Ln. Bldg. A Suite 3Reno, NV 89511775-322-1093 Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Yes, we did ask if other people had applied to the property. We were told no and asked to go ahead and submit the application so it could be processed right away. I called the office and once again stressed that we did not want to throw away money if there were other applicants. We were told once again no there were not, it was not until AFTER we submitted both applications that we were told that it was not a first come first serve basis and that other applicants had now submitted. In their email to me they offered to refund a "portion" of the money which as stated before "they offered to refund some of what we paid". A response was submitted within minutes of this email informing them that I appreciated this offer from them because there in fact "were no other homes in the Sparks area within our price range, that accepted our dog" and explaining we too were business owners and appreciated a good business ethic, and ALSO understood that everything they did for the application did in fact cost money. There was no further communication from New Dimensions. I then allowed time to pass and did in fact inquire about the status of this repayment to which NO RESPONSE WAS RECEIVED. It was not until this complaint was filed that New Dimensions decided to inform us that to receive the "PORTION" they feel is necessary back I would have to come into their office. Had they simply responded to my inquiry prior to this complaint would have never been filed. Instead the company chose to not say anything and hope that we would disregard their promise. We submitted our application on 8/30/15 and here it is 74 days later they decide to tell us how to proceed. Final Business Response According to the original complaint, [redacted]' "DesiredSettlementID: RefundI would like to see the refund for the application fee as we were promised."We never offered to refund the entire application fee. we have offered to refund [redacted] a portion of her application fee, $20 as "promised" and she has not accepted our response. I am at a loss to understand how offering the desired settlement is not acceptable. It would seem that [redacted] wants a public forum to re-iterate her unhappiness about not being approved for a property. 1. At the time she asked and applied, to our knowledge, there were no other applicants. 2. We have no control over who applies for our properties. The property remains available, on our website and our system accepts online applications until someone is approved and we receive a deposit. 2. Only one other person applied for this property and they were a better fit as chosen by the owner, not NDI.3. Regardless of weather or not [redacted] was "the only applicant" we could not even have considered her for the property without an application and the fee to process the credit and background check.4. Our website clearly states "BE PREPARED TO PAY THE NON REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE"5. The property manager has offered to pay $20.00, a "PORTION" of the fee as promised, back to [redacted] out of his own pocket. 6. If no one responded to her by email then Why didn't she call us and inquire about the refund? We will no longer respond to this complaint. If [redacted] wants her "desired settlement" then she needs to immediately stop posting to this complaint and come to our office and pick up her "desired settlement" by 12 Noon on Wednesday 11/18/15. If any further information is added to this complaint or she does not pick up the refund, the offer will be withdrawn.Respectfully,[redacted]Owner/MemberNew Dimensions

New Dimensions is wrongfully withholding funds due to me for rent collected by them on my property I hired them to rent on [redacted] because they claim it is in Foreclosure. I disclosed back when I hired them nearly 2 years ago the home was in modification and our contract indicates rents are due despite any notices served. A sale date was set today however (and I communicated all this to them along the way) I obtained an attorney and stopped the sale by filing a motion and the home is in litigation, not foreclosure so they are in breach of contract and need to release the funds they collected. Additionally, they emailed me my monthly Owner's Statement, like business as usual, showing the normal rent was collected and I only came to realize the money wasn't deposited when I was embarrassed at the grocery store when my debit card was declined. I then emailed them and they merely said they were withholding funds due to foreclosure. I reiterated how I emailed them several times and had hired an attorney and the home was in litigation (and our agreement says for me to hire an attorney so I was compliant) and they are not releasing the money. The owner, on the phone today told me off and told me I was a sorry excuse for a human being today and that she could buy me out 100 time over and buy my home. I told her she would be hearing from my attorney. They owe me over $3500 dollars as of today.Desired SettlementFine them and make them pay me what is due to me. Warn others.Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted]Contact Phone: 7753221093Contact Email: [redacted]This action is currently being handled by New Dimensions' attorney. [redacted] allowed her home to go into foreclosure by pocketing rent money and not making her mortgage payment obligation. Her efforts to renegotiate her loan were unsuccessful as New Dimensions and the tenant have both received several communications that [redacted] home was going to be sold in a foreclosure sale on 5/12/16. Several attempts to contact [redacted] by phone went unanswered. [redacted] signed a "Foreclosure Addendum" allowing New Dimensions to hold her money to satisfy any claims against rent monies that would be due and payable to the new owner acquiring the property in a foreclosure sale. It's difficult to notify an owner of an impending action if they do not return your calls. It wasn't until New Dimensions executed its obligation under the contract and held [redacted] money that she responded, via email, unkindly. To date, [redacted] has never spoken directly to her property manager [redacted]. Instead, [redacted] has chosen to launch a comprehensive attack on New Dimensions and myself as the owner. I have received several threatening phone calls, emails and inflammatory social media posts. To date, neither [redacted] nor her attorney have provided the appropriate paperwork to show that the home is not being sold in foreclose. This would be all that is need to release her funds yet she refuses to comply.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)From the onset I communicated my home was in modification and legal proceedings, per our signed agreement. Any educated person on this subject knows the mortgage company refused to accept payments during the modification process so [redacted] only shows herself to be ignorant and given she is in the Real Estate business, that's concerning. I fully disclosed this fact and signed a contract with these terms. The terms say that despite that fact rent monies are due to me, the owner. Secondly, my home wasn't sold nor foreclosed on because I retained an attorney (per the contract) and it is still in litigation. Legally [redacted] has no viable ground to stand on by pocketing my rent money due to me, the owner, per the agreement. I looked up the Reno Business License, under their Real Estate division and agent, [redacted], and their business license has been cancelled since Jan 2016 as well. I've got email records and phone records of continual communications showing [redacted] is just being dishonest about not being able to reach me. They had no problem direct depositing the funds each month for over a year prior and emailing me each month. I called almost every month as well as provided them my new work number and a second email. Here's the reality. [redacted] has never been polite to me and has insulted me many times. She, in my opinion, is not an ethical business owner. She knows how difficult it will be to fight her in court over less than $2000 so I want to warn everyone not to bring their business to this company who doesn't hold to their contracts, doesn't keep licenses current, don't value customer service, insult and ridicule their clients and other numerous shady business practices. Don't hire them. I'll never be paid what this company does owe me because [redacted] is one of those types of people who are, in my opinion, very mean spirited and unprofessional. If that's the kind of company you'd like to manage your property then have at it - as for me no thanks. I do have a small claim filing towards them but my main goal is to save my home and that is what I'm continuing to work on - and by the way how does she know what I do with the money collected? Maybe I'm saving it in an account until the modification is complete in order to provide a big payment - she doesn't know. This is one example of her unprofessional conduct and how she sizes up folks and determines (based on her current mood or the weather) what she thinks of them. I want a business to be professional, responsible and keep the terms of the legal agreement. I do know New Dimensions won't last because no business lasts that doesn't value it's client/customer base. Hopefully, others won't waste their time, money and efforts on New Dimensions. Maybe they should add a new dimension called Customer Service and figure out how to run a business correctly and ethically.Final Business Response [redacted]'s home was sold, in foreclosure, on 5/12/16. I am attaching the notice. The new owner will be due the money that [redacted] is demanding. New Dimensions, Inc. is the holding company for the trust accounts and does not require a business license. I would be happy to provide our business license to anyone upon request. [redacted] is confusing the tenants lease, which she attached, with the management agreement. These are two separate contracts.

THESE ARE THE REASONS I AM MOVING: NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO PUT UP WITH THIS MISMANAGEMENT AND/OR TOTAL GREED! NO AIR CONDITIONING IN HOUSE EVEN THOUGH I PAID $1248 A MONTH RENT!! NO WONDER THIS HOUSE WAS VACANT SOO LONG. HOUSES IN RENO/SPARKS THAT RENT FOR THIS AMOUNT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING.LIGHT/POWER SWITCH IN MASTER BEDROOM: SWITCH LEADS TO NOTHINGBUT IT IS LIVECAN YOU SAY ELECTRICAL FIRE ?? HOUSE HAS MANY ELECTRICAL ISSUES THAT REFUSE TO BE ADDRESSED. TOOK ELECTRICIANS /MAINTENANCE 3 TRIPS AND 3 CEILING FANS TO GET CEILING FAN IN MASTER BEDROOM TO WORK WITH A LIGHT. COTTONWOOD TREES IN BACK YARD: THEY NEED TO COME DOWN: ROOTS HAVE ALREADY PUSHED THE FENCE OUT OF THE GROUND. TREE BRANCHES ON THE POWER LINES/WIRES. NEIGHBORS HAVE COMPLAINED TO ME AND I HAVE COMPLAINED MANY TIMES. WHICH BRINGS UP THE BACK YARD FENCE THAT BLEW DOWN IN MARCH. PARTLY TO BLAME WAS THESE TREE ROOTS. WAS TOLD THEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT, BUT THE BACK YARD NEIGHBOR HAD IT DONE AFTER WAITING 3 MONTHS. WHEN I MOVED IN, I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD COME OUT AND CLEAR OUT ALL THE BROKEN TREE LIMBS, BRANCHES, WEEDS, ETC OUT OF THE BACKYARD. NOTHING WAS DONE. BROKEN WATER PIPE: BIG ROUND PATCH OF GREEN IN MIDDLE OF FRONT YARD. WHEN I MOVED IN IT WAS A SWAMP. BROKEN WATER PIPE WHICH LEADS TO THE WATER SPRINKLERS HAS BEEN BROKEN FOR AT LEAST A YEAR. IT WAS BROKEN WHEN I MOVED IN AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE ABOUT IT. I TOLD THEM ABOUT THIS ISSUE AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD REMIND THE MANAGEMENT. SPRINKLERS HAVE REMAINED OFF BECAUSE I WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE FIXED THIS SPRING, WELL NOW ITS SUMMER AND IT STILL HAS NOT BEEN FIXED. BIG SURPRIZE THERE. DEAD GRASS. $100 WATER BILL A MONTH BEFORE I SHUT OFF THE SPRINKLERS. WAS I REIMBURSED? NO, BIG SURPRIZE. ALSO THE PLASTIC GUTTER THAT SEPARATES THE GRASS FROM THE GRAVEL IS COMING OUT OF THE GROUND BECAUSE OF THE ROOTS FROM THE FIRE HAZARD BUSH NEXT TO THE GARAGE DOOR. I TRIPPED AND FELL SUNDAY OVER THE PLASTIC GUTTER THAT IS NOW STICKING 5 INCHES OUT OF THE GROUND AND INJURED MY FOOT. I WAS TOLD SOMEONE WOULD COME OUT AND MOW THE GRASS, TRIM THE BUSHES, AND SPRAY THE WEEDS WHEN I MOVED IN BECAUSE IT WAS A MESS. NOTHING HAPPENED. THE WEEDS HAVE TAKEN OVER THE GRAVEL AND I HAVE WASTED MONEY ON WEED KILLER. THE WEED BARRIER HAS FAILED. POWER/BREAKER BOX: BLOWING BREAKERS CONTINUOSLY. MASTER ELECTRICIAN SAID THAT THE WHOLE BREAKER BOX NEEDED TO BE REPLACED OR COMPLETELY REWIRED. HAS IT BEEN DONE? NO, BIG SURPRIZE. I HAVE HAD 3 MAJOR POWER OUTAGES AND ONE WITH FROZEN PIPES IN THE GARAGE. I WAS UNABLE TO USE THE ELECTRICAL OUTLETS IN THE KITCHEN WALL, CONNECTED TO THE GARAGE FOR A MONTH WHILE THE WALL DRIED OUT/UNFROZE AND HAD TO USE EXTENSION CORDS RUNNING ALL THROUGH THE HOUSE TO PLUG DISHWASHER, WASHING MACHINE AND GARBAGE DISPOSAL INTO. I DID NOT CALL ABOUT THIS BECAUSE I WASNT GOING TO WASTE ANYMORE OF MY LEAVE WATCHING THE CLOWNS NOT SOLVE ANYTHING. WHEN I RETURN HOME THE DOOR IS NOT LOCKED. I ASKED FOR THE LOCKS TO BE CHANGED, BUT WAS IGNORED.Account_Number: RentalDesired SettlementWant out of my lease. Business Response We are so very sorry to have been the source of your dissatisfaction. Each of the issues you brought forth is being investigated so we can learn how we might have missed the mark and can avoid doing so in the future. For reasons outside of our control, the property in question is no longer being managed by New Dimensions, so we are unable to accommodate or respond to your termination of the lease.

I rented a property from New Dimensions on November 9,2015 and put a security deposit on the property. On 2/19/2016 I received a notice that the owner of the property chose not to renew my lease and I had 30 days in order to vacate the property. I was never late with my rent, I work nights and sleep days, so was confused as to why my lease was being terminated. I tried to contact the property manager [redacted] on numerous occasions, and never received a call in return. I scrambled to find a new rental unit, and moved as per their request. Prior to moving I hired a cleaning service to clean the unit and shampoo the rugs. The property was cleaner when I moved out than when I moved in. I took pictures prior to moving in and also took pictures as I moved out. I waited the required 30 days for my deposit and received all but $50.00. I sent an e-mail to the property manager [redacted] as well as to the owner Robin Reichman requesting the reason why my lease was not renewed as well as the $50.00 returned to me if they could not prove by pictures why the $50.00 was withheld for "cleaning". I have tried on numerous occasions to e-mail the appropriate people regarding this issue and am very discouraged and disgusted with this company and their lack of human decency and customer service.Desired SettlementI would like the $50.00 that was withheld from my security deposit returned to me as well as the reason why my lease was not renewed as soon as possible since they were unable to prove their claim for "cleaning" and their failure as a company to respond to any of my prior attempts at contacting them. Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted] OwnerContact Phone: 775-322-1093Contact Email: [redacted]We are very sorry that [redacted] is unhappy however, as property managers, we are contractually bound by the wants and desires of our owners. We take the decision to renew or not renew a lease very seriously and are mindful of all parties involved in the decision. On several occasions New Dimensions staff communicated with [redacted] when he and his mother called to inquire about why he was being asked to leave. Unfortunately, New Dimensions is under no obligation to divulge the reasons why an owner chooses not to renew a lease. There were several circumstances that contributed to the decision not to renew [redacted]'s lease and it would be unprofessional to share those reasons in this public forum. Suffice it to say, New Dimensions and the owner felt it was in everyone's best interest that [redacted] leave the property and seek tenancy elsewhere. Knowing the reasons behind why he was asked to leave would not have changed the fact that the owner had decided not to renew [redacted]'s lease. Upon vacating the property [redacted] did provide some cleaning and this is why he received the majority of his $450.00 security deposit back. When the new tenant moved in several pictures were provided to New Dimensions documenting cleaning issues that had not been addressed. The property required additional cleaning and [redacted] was appropriately charged $50.00 for that cleaning.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)At no time in any of my or my mother's inquries were ever acknowledged or returned by the property manager. I also have pictures from before I moved in and after I had moved out and feel that New Dimensions retaining $50 is completely unfounded because they have not provided any evidence to support that the apartment needed any additional cleaning.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Lack of communication from the "Property Manager" is the reason why I have gone to the Revdex.com. Numerous phone calls and e-mails have been sent to [redacted], property manager, and not ONE phone call or E-MAIL has ever been returned. Due to his unreasonable response and lack of proof for withholding $50.00 from the security deposit, after we have asked for pictures and receipts, I want the $50.00 returned to me as soon as possible.Final Business Response Once again, please contact our office to view photo's of the issues that you were charged for.
