On September 25, 2013 Nevada Mobile Automotive Service e-mailed ([redacted]) an estimate to REPLACE HEAD GASKETS ON BOTH CYLINDERS of our 2005 Ford F-450 Super Duty Diesel truck, VIN# [redacted]. Before authorizing the work to be done [redacted] talked to [redacted] and asked him if he felt comfortable with doing the job, answer from [redacted] was yes. A month later on the 24th of October [redacted] called and spoke with [redacted] with an update, the head gaskets were done, but he was running into a problem with the #7 fuel injector. [redacted] asked to be paid on the work already done to proceed further. He sent over an employee to pick up a check for more than the original quote and would have the truck ready for us tomorrow. Friday the 25 of October at 1:10 pm Nevada Mobile called to say they were on their way, after a few hours I called to see where they were, no one answered, left message. Later that day, they called to say they had broken down. We finally had it towed on the 18th of November to [redacted] garage.Unfortunately, the job was done incorrectly. Which caused us have the work done over, plus causing other issues with the truck and we were without the truck for 3+ months during our busy time.[redacted] garage gave us this response: After removing the cylinder head it was apparent that a foreign object had held on intake valve open causing it to contact the piston - destroying the valve and seal. The foreign object was then found imbedded in the cylinder #5 piston, upon removal from the piston it appears to be a 6mm nut. It was decided that the best approach was to replace the passenger side cylinder head and remove the drivers side (that was previously replaced) to ensure that it was properly installed and to also install a cylinder head stud kit. With both heads removed it is apparent that the passenger side head was never removed. Throughout the entire process of repairing the engine there has been a large amount of missing hardware and many other problems. Don't have enough room for full complaint.Product_Or_Service: Replace head gaskets on both cylinders on F-450 Order_Number: [redacted] & [redacted]Desired SettlementTo resolve the problem, I would appreciate Nevada Mobile Automotive Service to reimburse [redacted] the $7,238.55 that they charged plus $750 more for having the #3 fuel injector to fail.
