Review: On 2/6/13 Ness service replaced my starter on my 2000 nissan maxima because I brouht my car to them because it was screeching when started and would barely intermittently start.. Two days after it was installed I was having the same issues as before they put a new one in. My car was making screeching noise and hesitating when started. I took it back and they couldnt find a problem. Still persistent that something wasnt right I took it back again and they told me the starter was bad and it had a lifetime warranty and they claimed they put a new starter in again. I left the shop and my car still would make a screeching noise when started. I brought it back again and they said there was no issue. I gave up as after 4 times they obviously couldnt fix the problem. I continued to drive around for the past year with a car that would randomly not turn over until I tried several times in a row. It would make the screeching noise several times first. It finally got so bad it barely made it to the service shop I now to to for repairs. After their diagnosis, they told me the starter was bad and whomever put it in put in a faulty starter and also did not connect back many wires when they installed. I again paid for a new starter and this problem I have had for a year is non existent anymore. The service shop gave me my starter to return to Ness for a refund and stated they would provide any information needed on the condition of the starter Ness Installed.Desired Settlement: Per the receipt I was charged $221.83 for the starter alone and $71.86 labor. I would like the cost of the starter $221.83 refunded to me by check and I will give Ness the starter back and they can get their money back. I have the receipt from Ness and I have the receipt from Kurowski Auto for the new starter installed on 3/14/14. I will not allow my car to be serviced at Ness anymore as this is not the first repair malfunction issue I have had with them so a credit is not acceptable.
