Review: I hired N.E. Entertainment for the DJ at my wedding on 11/8/13. We had a specific itinerary of music to be played at the wedding - told the DJ that certain songs were mandatory. He did not play half of those mandatory songs. The first half of the wedding went okay with the mandatory music, but then the DJ took it upon himself to ignore requests and continue playing whatever he felt like. Our guests were complaining that the music was terrible.When announcing the wedding party into the hall, he not only skipped over a bridesmaid and groomsman, but he also messed up all the music that was designated for each couple as well as the bride and groom's entrance song.When it was time to give the groomsman speech, he completely skipped over it and instead, announced the bride and groom to start the buffet.... the bride and groom went to the buffet, which wasn't even ready to be served and stood there for approximately 5 full minutes waiting for the servers. When it was time to cut the cake, the DJ called the bride and groom over to the cake.... which was not ready to be cut. There were no servers, no knife, no anything. The cake cutting song was OVER by the time the server came over to cut the cake. The bride and groom stood there for a 7 full minutes waiting. When attempting to dispute a refund of half of the money ($250), the DJ manager stated he would only refund $100. This is not acceptable for a company who completely made our wedding out to be a joke. Not only is it a once in a lifetime experience, but it was an extremely expensive wedding reception. Wedding receptions are MADE by the music that is played and in this case, it was a complete bomb of a night. The DJ that did our wedding was [redacted]. The manager of N.E. Entertainment is [redacted] and is the one that refuses to compensate us.Desired Settlement: Would like half of our monies refunded. We payed $500, and would like a $250 reimbursement.
