I took my son to the NCNM on December 13th, 2012 for an appointment and to have some blood work done. I was told when I called to schedule that they had recently raised their first-time appointment charge to $50.00. My sister also wanted to take her child in for an appointment so we scheduled appointments at the same time that morning. After the appointments we both paid and my total was $269.40, which the office assistant told me was for the blood work and appointment and I was paid-in-full. My sister only had an appointment and was charged $50.00. They told me 2-3 weeks for blood work results and after calling persistently I was able to get results around 5-6 weeks later. There were no further issues until April 2nd, 2013 when I received a bill in the mail from the NCNM for $60 for an office visit for my son. I called them right away saying it was almost 4 months ago that we had been in and that we were paid-in-full. They checked and said no you owe $60. I asked for what? They said for a new patient visit. I said no, that was paid when I brought my son in along with the payment for his blood work, I was assured I paid-in-full at the time of service. They let me speak with someone in charge, and I explained to him what was going on. He informed me that they've "never" charged $50 for appointments, it's always been $60. I informed him that my sister also took her child in that day and was also charged $50. His response was "Well I can knock it down to $50 that you owe, but no lower than that." So from the start he was very dishonest. I told him I paid for the appointment at the time of the appointment and it was verified by the office assistants at the time. He said maybe they made a mistake. After getting nowhere we hung up and they have been sending me bills frequently and have recently sent the $50 they allege that I owe to collections. I am very dissatisfied with this place, I didn't mind the extra wait on blood work results, but for them to start billing me for something I had already paid for 4 months after the appointment is completely ridiculous.
