I was contacted by someone over the phone on June 10, 2013 regarding an old payday loan from 2006. He stated he was hired to issue me arbitration paperwork at my place of business and wanted to confirm my information. After speaking with him, he gave me the number and an account number regarding this paperwork. I contacted the company regarding this issue, and they stated they had been hired by check n go to pursue action. I informed them I was unaware of these issues and to please provide me with paperwork and I would review it and pay it if it belonged to me. They sent me an unofficial letter via email. The company name was not NCA but S.M.B. and associates listed on the paperwork. After calling several times to clear this issue up, they have been irate and uncooperative in every fashion. I have requested their mailing information or any information to check the validity of their business, but they refused to give me any information. After contacting the Army Legal Services and a separate attorney, they both stated this was a scam and to ignore their calls.
