I thought it was a good idea to take a risk and join a membership with this company, as it had a so-called A+ rating on Revdex.com. I decided to (ultimately WASTE my money) sign up for a 3 month membership, in hopes that I would make the money back and then some through some gigs.
I followed directions and frequently answered qualifying casting calls, all with NO response (other than confirmation of submission).
I sent a message to the company requesting for help ~ first to confirm that my submissions were being received, and if there was anything I could do different on my profile to make myself a more attractive candidate for some of these casting calls. Also, I explicitly requested a rep contact me to give me pointers.
The response was only an email: "Your submissions are coming through. Our team goes through and selects talent or even our clients do- depends on project. Please stay tuned and you'll get something...you're stunning. Profile picture is great."
This obviously wasn't very helpful, as I continued to apply for casting calls to no avail.
While I am realistic and understand that I'm NOT going to be chosen for EVERY casting call I apply for, I was hoping that I would have been chosen for AT LEAST ONE in all that time!
It would have been nice if they would have assisted me with any helpful pointers as I had specifically requested.
I paid for absolutely NOTHING. Unfortunately, I wasted not only precious money but also valuable time! It upsets me that the company didn't act more to help work something out when I asked for it.
