Repair of Shower Head and Review all plumbing Systems
Milestone showed up at our home in Southlake on 12-6-2024 in the time frame they provided when confirmed. The person who performed the work was Johnathon Figueroa.
He was polite and professional and did all we requested and more. He also told us many maintenance things we could do on our own and showed us what was wrong exactly.
The time period was about 2 hours and he completed the work in satisfactory manner.
We will use them again we needed.

Scams
It seems like their specialty is scamming old people. You pay them monthly and then you still have to pay a diagnostic fee of 100 just to have them come out. Then it’s still thousands of dollars for the repair works and I’m curious as heck what the monthly payments are for? My grandmother has been using this company for years and all I can tell is that they come out and do an “inspection” for free every now and then. They fail to mention actual arising problems and then we’re still paying them thousands to come fix these problems. If you just cut out milestone monthly payments, you’ll save money by calling a tech when you need one. They contract other companies for most of their work anyways. They don’t even do drywall repair, they had to send another company come out and do a quote. My grandmother is at a loss trying to figure out why her house is falling apart when she’s had milestone looking after it for 20 years.

CROOKS DO NOT USE THEM!!!
My 75 yr parents had Milestone come out to their house due to the AC not working in their home they are moving in to. They sent a service tech out to check it out, and he said that reason why was due to the fact two or three of the AC ducts were disconnected.

A few days prior my mother had a crew come clean the ducts, so it made sense that the other crew did a sloppy job. Milestones tech reattached the vents and told them it was good to go.. and charged them $1000! As if that wasn't bad enough the AC still did not work!

My father had them send someone back out and this time the next guy said that the reason why it wasn't working still was due to the fact that none of the AC compressors had the plunger in the disconnect boxes, and that one of the disconnects was not even attached to the wall!

Now, how the previous tech not only missed it and told my 75 yr old parents it was good to go, and had the nerve to charge $1000 ABSOLUTELY BLOWS MY MIND! AND ON TOP OF THIS... the next tech told my parents it will be $1000 more to reattached THE SAME DISCONNECT to the wall! Literally 4 tapcons that may cost $5 or less... I AM A MASTER ELECTRICIAN.. THIS IS ROBBERY! NO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!

I called before making this post to speak with a manager to try and work this out privately, but was put on hold 13 minutes the first time and 5 minutes the second time... I never got a manager. I told the girl I am posting this on every sight I can. And I will make a video for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. THEY DON'T DESERVE OUR BUSINESS, STOP USING THEM!

AC problem
Nick and his coworker got the AC working in under 30 minutes. No charge since it was under warranty. And they let me help ! Now that's teamwork.

This is the most professional group of people I have ever had the privilege of dealing with. They arrived on schedule. Their communication is amazing. Text messages with an eta and a picture of the tech who is coming to your home. they did a same-day install on two HVAC systems and made sure everything was done perfect. We also had them clean the duct-work do to the old system had stuff growing in it. and they left the house just as clean as it was when they arrived. we also got in on a special they were running and got 2 free water heaters which when the plumber came to install them he went through all our plumbing to let us know if we had any other issues, at no additional cost.

Milestone is a top tier company, every person I have talked to and dealt with in the past week has been upbeat and professional. They also didn't try to sell us more then we needed, and told us why we did or didn't need something. This is a great company and I will be a customer of theirs for as long as I live in their service area.

Was very upset I needed small crack fixed in pipe under sink . He said 500 to fix it or 12,000 fix whole house for plumbing . Did not fix sink and I did it myself.

Hi ***, our goal is for all of our customers to be 100% satisfied with our service! I'd love for the opportunity for our service manager to discuss the pricing with you and see how we can make it right and ensure you're happy with our visit. Unfortunately, I'm unable to locate your contact info with your first or last name; please call me at your earliest convenience at 972-422-9030. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks! - Ashley

They overcharged me for a heat pump and didn't even provide a programmable thermostat. They played me for a dupe because I'm a single woman.
Their sales crew, carefully disguised as a "service" crew, sold me an unnecessary unit, (a 3 ton unit rather than a 2 ton unit because my home is less than 1200 sq ft.) I was and am still unemployed so I had to take money out of my retirement fund to pay them $12,250.00 for a new unit. Then, less than a month later they charged me $99 for a drain cleaning on a 16-day-old unit. So my total cost was $12,349.00. See credit card transaction attached.

Comparing apples to apples based on 2019 pricing - a 3-ton Lennox Elite XP16 Multi-stage Heat Pump should have cost only $7,530 installed according to research on google. Also see: https://www.consumeraffairs.com/homeowners/lennox.html and the customer reviews attached.

I asked my brother to please program the thermostat for me. He has undergraduate and graduate degrees from MIT and Ohio State. He can fix anything! He couldn't figure it out, so I gave him the manual that came with it. It turns out that my $12,250 unit didn't even come with a programmable thermostat.

I only trusted them because they bought out the company I had been doing business with for 15 years. All-Systems Heating and Air never would have taken advantage of me this way. They saw a single woman and took me for a mark.

After the fact, I read that their paper work says they price match, offer a 100% money back guarantee, but when I let them know how dissatisfied I was, they wanted to speak to me so that we would "be on the same page" about pricing and why it cost so much. I felt that was a condescending remark - again treating me like some stupid woman who doesn't know anything about what she's saying.

Desired Outcome

By my estimation, the need to refund me $4,819 - based on their price match guarantee, and money back guarantee if you're not 100% satisfied, and they need to install a programmable thermostat for free.

Milestone Response • Mar 06, 2020

On 3/6 we were able to speak with Ms. and come to a resolution. We will be honoring her refund request of $4,819 and will be going back out to the home to install a TSTAT at no charge. She is 100% satisfied with this resolution.

Customer Response • Mar 09, 2020

Milestone contacted me first thing this morning. They agreed to refund the disputed amount and are sending someone out to install a programmable thermostat for free this afternoon.

Thanks again for mediating this dispute.

Kind regards

Customer Response • Mar 30, 2020

Milestone never sent me the refund based on the price match guarantee. They first said it was mailed on the 13th of March. Then they told me it was mailed on the 17th of March. It is March 30th, I have have not received my refund check. I feel like they are playing "the check is in the mail" game with me. They mailed me a card thanking me for giving them the opportunity to make things square with them. Then nothing. I have received shipments from Canada in less time that this alleged payment is taking to get here. Please light a fire under them to refund my money. They owe me $4,819.00 and I need the money.

Milestone Response • Apr 07, 2020

I have spoken with Ms. St Claire to ensure that she did receive the refund she was owed. We did send that check via priority mail and she confirmed she had received it.

Customer Response • Apr 09, 2020

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
They finally made good on their price match guarantee. Had it not been for the men in my life, my neighbor, my brother and my boyfriend, I never would have known how badly I'd been taken advantage of by Milestone. But I learned a good lesson. Always do your research before you approve any work in your home, especially if you're a single woman.

Charged me almost $800 for installing a "required" ground rod for my water heater. When you look at what was actually done, and ask yourself, is that an $800 value?

NOPE!!!!!

The Milestone Technician (Adam *** also said he would supply the cable from my generator to an adapter he would install, and that did NOT happen.

Milestone Electric overcharged me for a new Electrical Panel, installed it outside (where anybody can power my house down) and is a worthless, rip-off to anybody they claim to serve. Find someone else for your electrical needs, this company WILL rip you off!

Milestone Response • Nov 12, 2019

Mr.
I am so sorry to hear that you did not have a great experience here at Milestone. I can assure you that it is never our intention to leave you feeling upset for any reason. If our technician told you he was going to do something & did not do that, that is a problem that we need to address on our end. I completely understand your frustrations with that and do not blame you for being upset if that were the case. Regardless of the situation, we do have a customer satisfaction guarantee here and will always do whatever we can to make the situation right. I would love the opportunity to look into what happened here so I am able to address any concerns that you may have. I will be reaching out shortly to discuss. If you would like to speak with me before then, please reach out at 972-526-5918 or reach out via email at [email protected] I look forward to speaking with you. -

I had Milestone come to check my HVAC and furnace for the fall season, spending $240 three months ago. I have just been told that my ac drain is almost totally stopped up. I called Milestone and was told I would be charged a service charge; that the checking of my systems was guaranteed for one month. ONE MONTH! Just wanted to let everyone know NOT to have them check your systems for winter.

Milestone Response • Nov 12, 2019

Hello Ms.
I am so sorry to hear that you have not had a great experience here at Milestone. I am so sorry to hear that you are having some issues with your a/c drain line. Any service work that we perform out at your home comes attached with a five year warranty so if anything were to happen that was a direct result of work we did out at you home during that time frame, that would be covered and we would come out and repair that no questions asked. Drain cleanings are what have a 30 day warranty on them because those drain lines can be clogged extremely easy by a number of things. Regardless, we do have a customer satisfaction guarantee here and will always do whatever we can to make the situation right. I will be reaching out shortly to discuss. If you would like to speak with me before then, please feel free to give me a call at 972-526-5918 or reach out via email at [email protected] whichever is easiest. I look forward to speaking with you. -

overcharging for service. after they broke another part of AC
Jonathan comes out to replace thermostat $99 for service call, $279 for thermostat. AC stops working again.replaces the relay. AC stops working again, now the motherboard is fried. after writing there was nothing wrong with it to begin with, on the service sheet.then charges $829 to replace that. he leaves for 30 minutes and the ac is down again. comes back and now wants to charge $630 for a wire replacement.

Desired Outcome

I shouldn't have been charged for motherboard, considering there was nothing wrong with it to begin with and $630 for a wire.

Auto Renewal of Security Contract
We signed a 3 year contract with Milestone Security. Apparently after calling Milestone Security 2 days ago to find out when our contract ended. We were told it had ended but Milestone Auto renewed the contract for another year. Milestone emails us and calls us with Promotions and services and yet, not 1 call to say our service was coming to an end - but as per the contract THREE years ago - we have to remember this.

Desired Outcome

Termination of the Contract with NO FURTHER COST to us

Hello Mr.. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to address this. I see you spoke with our service manager Steven and we agreed to refund you that $300. Please let us know if there is anything more we can help with.

During spring a/c tuneup my filter wasn't changed. Now I have dirty ducts and require to be cleaned.. dusty air and I have asthma.
Morgan came 23Nov for fall furnace tuneup and now my ducts require cleaning as they are packed with dust. During spring tuneup Trey told me filter was clean, and didn't have one on board anyway, but it didn't need to be cleaned. Now for $2900 they'll clean and seal the ducts. I offered to split cost, ($1500 eathey pay for cleaning I'll pay for seal) and was told they'll give $300 credit..best offer. They could pay $2k for cleaning and I could still pay $2900 for the seal alone despite a $2900 duo deal currently running, NO ONE has called me back in 2 weeks. With my heating unit running nightly with the he cold snap, a brand new $24k unit I purchased from them 4 2017, I wake with a sore throat and problems breathing with asthma (that has been in remission for years). I had similar problems with Mikestone in Spring 2018 during AC tuneup. Trey promised his supervisor would call and I've heard nothing. I previously had problems with the ducts on one side of the house after the insulation. It closed off the ducts as it was draped over a hanging suspension and the air was not being regulated properly through the house (more on one side than the other). Now the dust is more on the same side that was missing the air than the other side. Sadly I hadn't followed up with Trey due to surgeries and becoming recently partially paralyzed and living alone (no one to help me follow up) but I believed them when they said the filter was ok until the fall tuneup. But now I need thousands of dollars of cleaningincluding my carpet after they clean the ducts.

Desired Outcome

I want the ducts cleaned at their cost. I further want my carpets cleaned after a month. I also want a replacement filter in February, thenthe normal spring replacement. This will ensure a clean filter to get anything further in the system over the next month, and then the clean one will run until the spring. This was their fault. I also want them to recheck the ducts and ensure they are clean through the summer, when the ac runs. If they need to be cleaned again, this is to be at their cost as well. I haven't spent over $30k with them to be milked for work that they didn't do and then have to clean up after them. I purchased this unit to ensure I'd have a unit for decades to come, and a clean house free of dust. I now spend 80% of my time in bed breathing the air in here and for $30k ($30,000) I expect it to be sprinkling fairy dust, NOT filthy dust.

Hello, Ms.. My name is *** and I am the customer relations manager here at Milestone. I am so sorry to hear about the experience you have had with our company. I can assure you we would never leave a customer feeling this way, so I will do everything I can to make sure that we make this right for you. I will be reaching out shortly to speak with you about this.

Customer Response • Dec 12, 2018

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This isn't a resolution. I'll contact the company to discuss what they are willing to do to correct the issues. Until then this complaint remains open. As for the actual response, twice, two employees had specific details to go to managers and I was promised a response on the following business day. Neither time did anyone call as previously stated. So the company, especially this last time when Morgan called from my house and spoke with managers, did in fact intentionally leave me "feeling his way". Anyway, more as the discussions take place.

Milestone Response • Dec 13, 2018

Ms., thank you so much for speaking with us and giving us the opportunity to make this right. *** let me know that we will be doing that duct cleaning at no charge as well as providing you with a new filter at no charge for your spring tune up. I know our dispatch team has been trying to contact you to get this duct cleaning set up and has been unable to reach you. Please give us a call whenever you are able so we can get this taken care of for you.

I have used Milestone Electric for many years and for many years they have "sold" me on buying things I really didn't need, i.e., the zippered cover on my attic that does nothing to help with my electric bill. My townhouse was only 9 years old when they touted me on buying two new HVAC units and condensers to the tune of many thousands of dollars because of various issues they kept finding. That was in 2015. They guaranteed lower electric bills and more efficiency. Well, guess what? I now have two 3-year old units that have issues almost every time I have the summer and winter maintenance checks which are included in the "MAM plan" I took years ago and my electric bills are HIGHER!. This last time, the technician came down from the attic with a picture on his phone of something "growing" inside the duct which he would not admit to being mold. He said they aren't allowed to say the word "mold". We inspected the units ourselves and saw no evidence of "growth".

Also two circuit boards burned out due to "heat damage" and fortunately I am under warranty so they are being ordered and replaced. Why would two boards burn out after only 3 years???? He claims the voltage coming into the house is too high. We are going to contact the electrical utility to check this claim.

The technician is telling us we should buy "hard start kits" for both units to extend the life of the units. Some companies include that with a new unit. Of course, mine didn't! Years ago, manufacturers included hard start kits with new HVAC units but in an effort to save costs for them, many of them stopped including the kits and then Milestone wants to charge extra for this.

He told us that we should consider installing an HVAC UV light on each unit and showed us two versions. We looked up UV HVAC lights on Amazon which cost $56. Milestone is charging either $500 or $1000 depending on the quality meaning a total of $1,000 o $2,000 for both units. Even with installation fee, that's an absurd amount of money to charge for this!!!

And.....He did NOT zipper up the cover over the attic opening when he left and he left one of he screws unscrewed on the unit cover! We found it on the attic floor.

The technicians who work for Milestone have always been professional and courteous, but what it boils down to is they are always trying to sell you something and it's always very over-priced.

I feel that I have been taken for the proverbial "ride".

Milestone Response • Nov 19, 2018

Hello Ms., my name is Channing and I am the customer relations manager here at milestone. I am so sorry to hear about the less than satisfactory experience you have had with us. We never want any of our customers to be left feeling upset or dissatisfied with us in any way so I would really love the opportunity to speak with you further about this so we are able to come to a fair resolution. I will be reaching out shortly to speak with you.

Customer Response • Nov 24, 2018

Ms. and Anthony,

I spoke to both of you and as a result, Anthony is sending a field supervisor to recheck the installation of my two HVAC units next week and in an attempt to resolve my issues with Milestone, Anthony is going to have two UV lights installed gratis in the units to prevent any bacteria or growth due to moisture in the coils. The two circuit boards will also be installed. I am under warranty for these items.

I am satisfied with Anthony's offer and will continue using Milestone Electric for my HVAC needs.

So...Milestone Electric just got kicked out of my house after charging me $79 for a service call at which they explained they would be charging me $677.76 to hang a small chandelier. OMGosh. Are you kidding me? $299 of that was for a a small piece of metal worth all of about a buck that he would have to go get. He actually said it with a straight face. Un-freaking-believable! Now I've noticed he left my current light disassembled. What a bunch of crooks!!

I will always be here to help. Have a wonderful rest of your day!

Chad from Milestone Electric reached out and offered to make the situation right. Dillon, a kind and professional young electrician, was here this morning and did a superb job hanging the chandelier. He was very particular about how the light hung making sure it was completely level. Job well done Dillon and Milestone!!

Awesome. So happy to hear Chad and Dillon were able to get you taken care of. Please let us know if there is anything at all we can help with in the future! Have a great weekend.

Illegal solicitation robocall to my cell phone
I should begin by telling you that I am a consumer advocate by trade, and as such, I am keenly aware of the federal statutes in play here... The telephone Consumer Protection Act specifically prohibits the use of automated telephone dialing systems, or any phone system with the capacity to automatically call or text the cell phone numbers of a consumer, without the express, prior, written consent of that consumer, particularly with the use of pre-recorded solicitation messages. Moreover, the Telemarketing Sales Rule makes illegal the calling of any number that has been registered on the National Do Not Call Registry. Yesterday morning, I received a call with a pre-recorded solicitation message that perfectly fits the aforementioned descriptions. I immediately called Milestone to confirm that they were in fact the ones who originated the call, and their receptionist did so.My cell phone number (XXX-XXX-XXXX) has been listed on the DNC since 2005, and at no time did I provide consent to calls or texts from Milestone Electric. I think it important to note that, not only was the call I received yesterday morning illegal, it is also actionable in a court of law, with substantial statutory penalties, particularly in the case of willful violations such as this... I am 100% committed to seeing to it that these kinds of solicitations cease, and I would urge this company to cease and desist using these types of illegal marketing efforts...

Desired Outcome

I would very much like to speak directly with a corporate officer, or corporate counsel for Milestone about the illegal calls they are making. No other outcome will be satisfactory.

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I was contacted by Milestone within a day of having made this complaint. They were very accommodating and friendly, and we have come to a very acceptable agreement.

Disputing $280.00 charged for coolant they put in A/C condenser knowing it would leak out in less than a minute because they knew there was a leak.
I called Milestone on 5/14/18 for an estimate on my A/C unit which was not blowing cold air. They charged $99 for service visit which I am fine with. They told me there was a leak in the condenser outside. They then proceeded to put $5 lbs. of coolant in only to have it leak out in less than one minute and they charged me $56/lb-$280.00. Then they had a supervisor come out who tried to tell me I needed a whole new unit due to the way my zones were set up. This house is 5 years old. I do not know anything about A/C issues so I was taking their word. He gave me options from $3901
75 to 20,497.95. I felt pressured to get the most expensive option based on what he told me needed to be done. He said the $3901 option was a band aid. I signed and then voided it the next morning after I could not sleep because I could not afford that. He came down to $2908.00 just to replace the condenser coil and add 410A. He also said that he just found that I still had a limited warranty on my current unit so that's why it was cheaper now. By this time I knew I was being scammed. I called Harris Air Services, recommended by my boss who said that the Milestone quote was ridiculous. They told me I could get a replacement condenser coil all in for $1850.00 and immediately told me it was still under warranty. I feel taken advantage of and I do not want anyone else to go through this experience. Harris also said they should not have even put the coolant in once they saw the leak because they knew it would run right out - but they still charged me. That is not good business and it unethical to me. I will never use them again and will tell anyone who asks.

Desired Outcome

Refund of the $280 for the coolant that they put in knowing it would run right out. I understand the $99 service fee and am not asking for a refund for that.

Customer Response • Jul 05, 2018

They did contact me last week and did refund my money. Thank you for your assistance.

We had our breaker panel replaced and a new outlet installed. They overcharged for services, used predatory sales tactics, and did poor work.
We called because the breaker connected to our HVAC kept tripping and we had no heat when it was extremely cold outside. We were told they had to send an HVAC person to look at it first, even though I told them someone had already looked at the HVAC and we knew it was an issue with the breaker panel. Their HVAC person came out and then said one of their electricians would need to come out because the issue was with the breaker. However, the HVAC person said it did look like there was a problem with our TXV valve and he would need to come back another day to look at it further. The electrician came out and said we needed to have our whole breaker panel replaced because it was an unsafe model. He told us that if we agreed to have it replaced the very next day then he would give us discounts and install an outdoor socket for us for free, so we agreed. We were charged roughly $4800. After the work was done I did some research and found that the average cost for replacing a panel is $2000-2500, and the materials they used could be purchased at Home Depot for about $1000 total. I believe the technician took advantage of the fact that we had no heat and were desperate to get it repaired and he pressured us into having it done quickly and overcharging us. In addition, they damaged the dry wall when installing the panel and had to come back another day to fix it, the panel door they installed was missing a hinge and they had to come back another day to fix it, and the outdoor socket they installed began making a clicking noise which they had to fix when they were fixing the dry wall. So in total we had to be available on 4 different days for them to come to do the work and then fix the issues from the work they did. There was also a separate (5th) day when the HVAC person came back out to look at the TXV valve, and somehow it went from possibly having a problem with our TXV valve to now needing $2600 of repairs done on our A/C unit (which "coincidentally" was almost exactly the amount of money we had left on our credit line, which they knew because we used the credit line to pay for the breaker panel). We declined to have the additional repairs done and our unit has continued to work just fine. Finally, the breaker panel was installed on 12/16/17. It is now 1/29/18 and the inspector has never been out to inspect their work. Also, the outdoor socket they installed has now stopped working completely, so we will need to have another company come look at it because I will never use Milestone for any work every again.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of $2000 in consideration of the overcharged cost, the excessive amount of time we had to waste for them to do follow-up repairs on their work, and the fact that part of the work they did (the outdoor socket) has already stopped working and we will need to pay an additional cost to have it repaired by a different company.
