The complainant [redacted] originally purchased a [redacted] from us Jan6, The [redacted] had a total purchase price of $including taxes and was delivered with 159,kms The purchase price also included our complimentary month or km warranty that we purchase from a third party supplier on behalf of our clients Shortly after the original purchase the car was returned to us with a check engine light, it was diagnosed as a purge value which was ordered and replaced for the client at our cost (no cost to client) From then, the car was then serviced by her mechanic in her area of Chester The next issues that she had was on Feb 23, when it was diagnosed as needing a motor mount and a windshield wiper motor The warranty paid for by us and provided by [redacted] paid $towards these repairs The claim amount paid to the garage who performed the work was $and the warranty claim was closed on March 9, There were no other issues of concern raised by her mechanic at that timeHad issues with the turbo been diagnosed, the third party warranty that we provided with the car would have covered those as well From that time, the vehicle was being maintained by her chosen mechanic He did not have any concern over the turbo during this time The warranty that paid for the repairs he performed also covers turbo related problems If there was a turbo issue at this time the warranty would have covered all or part of the repair Sometime during the summer months [redacted] had the vehicle towed to our location due to a non-start issue When the car arrived here at Griffin Motors and was taken off the tow truck the vehicle started and ran normally [redacted] then proceeded to drive the vehicle home This was the last time anyone here at Griffin Motors spoke with the complainant After months of driving, an unknown amount of kilometers, there are too many variables involved for us to be held accountable We delivered a properly inspected and functioning vehicle to Ms [redacted] The one minor issue that was brought up soon after the purchase was resolved by us at our costThe vehicle came with a complimentary warranty that was used by the client for other repairs that her mechanic recommended With the amount of time and driving that has past we will not offer any refund on either the vehicle purchase price or repairs that were paid for by the client [redacted] Griffin Motors Sackville Drive Middle Sackville, N.S [redacted] PHONE: [redacted] FAX: 902-252- www.griffinmotors.ca

[redacted] I am rejecting this response because: the hose to the washer from the faucet was dripping a constant drip, that would be part of washer repair, they diagnosed nothing, he DID NOT run cycles, he was ? not here long enough, he did not know if it leaked he did not move the wet towels or look behind the washer or he would have seen the leak!! The hoses leaking are considered washer repair, he did nothing!! I want his license verified, is he in fact a licensed repairman and he HAS NOT returned my check!! He told me to stop payment and that is unacceptable!! He needs to return the check!! I hired him to diagnose and fix a water leak from washer, [redacted] did nothing!! [redacted] is unprofessional, refuses to accept responsibility or return my check!! His answer is dishonest and not representative of facts at all!! Regards, [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:I am not satisfied with this response whatsoever. The fact that neither Griffin Motors nor my mechanic were able to diagnose the issue properly, does not change the fact that the issue was there when I bought the vehicle. I had the same symptoms from day one and they never changed, no matter what was repaired. I would go as far as to say that all the repairs were unnecessary and in case of the dealer I even believe that they might have diagnosed a small problem just to make me go away. And if it wasn’t intended, it was a lack of knowledge, which is just as bad. The car should have been in proper condition when I bought it and it wasn’t. Just because there is no one qualified enough around to perform the repairs, does not mean that a dealer should get away with not taking responsibility for defects that were there at the time of purchase.

The complainant [redacted] originally purchased a 2007 [redacted] from us Jan. 6, 2017.  The 2007 [redacted] had a total purchase price of $9999.75 including taxes and was delivered with 159,142 kms.  The purchase price also included our complimentary 6 month or 6000 km warranty that...

we purchase from a third party supplier on behalf of our clients.  Shortly after the original purchase the car was returned to us with a check engine light, it was diagnosed as a purge value which was ordered and replaced for the client at our cost (no cost to client).  From then, the car was then serviced by her mechanic in her area of Chester.  The next issues that she had was on Feb 23, 2017 when it was diagnosed as needing a motor mount and a windshield wiper motor.  The warranty paid for by us and provided by [redacted] paid $913 towards these repairs.  The claim amount paid to the garage who performed the work was $913 and the warranty claim was closed on March 9, 2017. There were no other issues of concern raised by her mechanic at that time. Had issues with the turbo been diagnosed, the third party warranty that we provided with the car would have covered those as well.
