Review: On Wednesday 4/27 I called [redacted], Mechanicsville Garage Door Repair because my opener stopped working. I found their business by doing a google search, which revealed this website address: http://www.mechanicsvillegaragedoorrepair.com. I called and scheduled an appointment for Tuesday 5/3 at 10 a.m. I asked for the name of the technician who would be arriving and the clerk told me they had a team of techs and she didn't know who would be given my job.

On 5/3 I called the company at 10:15 and was told my appointment was really at noon. After no one showed up by 1:00, I called the company again. This time, the clerk told they don't fix garage doors. She hung up.

I called back immediately and told them my name. The clerk said [redacted] we told you we don't fix garage doors." She hung up again.

I called back a third time, gave them my name. It was a different clerk, who advised that they had no technicians in my area. She also said they tried to call me earlier to cancel. When I asked why they didn't leave a message, she said it's not her fault that I didn't answer my phone. Then she hung up.

I called back a forth time, gave my name, and asked them not to hang up, that I was trying to get some help. This time, a man answered. He looked up my name and said that their one technician quit unexpectedly Monday afternoon and the would not be able to help me. I asked to speak to the manager and the reply was "he'll be in this afternoon. I can have him call you." They told me his name was Michael B[redacted]. He never called.Desired Settlement: I had my door repaired by another company. I don't need a settlement. Ideally, I'd like an explanation for their behavior. But most of all I want an official record that there's a complaint against this business.
