McKinley Homes Reviews (%countItem)

my wife and I moved in to this house almost a month ago. We were told that the spot painting and small repairs would be taken care. We still have spots that need to be completed. The other night we noticed the power went out in our bedroom and never came back on. We went to reset the breaker and nothing happen but small spark. This is a new build house and it shouldn't be happening. Every time I contact the builder he has some excuse or he is busy. This isn't a rental this is something we purchased and it's not right and needs to be taken care of

Desired Outcome

Finish the job Come in finish the painting that needs to be done in the living room, stairwell, and spare bedroom window. Figure out this electrical issue so we have power in our master bedroom

To whom it may concern

According to records, the owner initially filed a warranty claim on Wednesday, October 9th at 11:07am. Our Customer Service Manager contacted the owner on Wednesday, October 9th at 12:47pm.

Please note, paint touch-ups were not mentioned in the initial warranty ticket submittal nor subsequent correspondence.

Regarding the loss of power, since the loss of power was not to the entire home, the warranty claim was not considered an emergency. Emergencies are located and explained in the McKinley Homes Warranty Manual as well as the Mckinley Homes Warranty Portal.

Unfortunately, the electrician was unable to make it to the residence on Thursday, October 10th. The electrician did visit the residence on Friday, October 11th in the morning and replaced a defective breaker resolviong the issue. The Mckinley Homes Customer Service Department resolved the electrical issue within 48 hours of the initial submittal. McKinley Homes tracks all warranty claims through a web-based portal to track responsiveness and to measure claim submittals to resolution.

Regarding the paint, the Construction Manager in the community went by the Home and left paint for the owners to touch up walls damaged during move-in. McKinley Homes repaired drywall and a corner bead damaged by a refrigerator during move-in as a courtesy to the owners of the Home. According to the Construction Manager, all walk through documents were signed off with no outstanding exceptions.

As an additional courtesy, the Construction Manager and Area Construction Manager are scheduling painters to go through the home to paint as needed.

Mckinley Homes does apologize for any inconveniences caused by the loss of power and painting issues.

Please inform McKinley Homes of the resolution and if additional information may be needed.

Thank you

This is a load of BS. We don't damage anything while. Icing on. I'm grown if I made a mistake I'll own up to it. This townhouse was thrown up and the builder doesn't care because he didn't build this specific unit. He tells us that every time I see him. 2 days without power in your master bedroom is a big deal. If it was your home you would understand . I have a pregnant wife at home. Not the mention this home is suppose to be brand new with a defective breaker come in people. The refrigerator isn't even on the side the damage was so that's a lie. The property was put up poorly and the corner piece was not nailed in properly with causes the drywall to crack. The builder made promises and he's not keeping them.

McKinley Homes has received the rebuttal from the owner and would like to explain the following.

McKinley Homes does apologize for the loss of power to the Master Bedroom. Due to the power loss beining isolated to one room, the warranty process does not consider the loss to be an emergency. McKinley Homes did schedule the repiar for the following day, but the company was unable to visit the home. The electricians did show up the following day and made the repair in less than 48 hours from the initial Warranty Submittal.

McKinley Homes sent the Area Construction Manager and the Construction Manager the followng day to assess the paint and drywall issues. All issues were minor. The Construction Manager has scheduled painters to visit the home to resolve any issues. Unfortunately, we visited the home as scheuduled with the homeowner on Tuesday, 10/29 and no one is at the home. We will attempt to return to the home in the afternoon and reschedule if needed.

The purchased home was finished prior to the buyer signing the contract. The owner was able to visit the home prior to buying the home and in multiple walk throughs with our construction team.

McKinley Homes has attempted to resolve any and all issues with the owner and will reschedule the painters if we are unable to complete the job on Tuesday, 10/29.

Please note, the Revdex.com Complaint was filed prior to McKinley Homes receiveng a Warranty Request for the loss of power and painting issues. McKinley Homes is dedicated to resolve any reamining issues the owner may have at this time.

Thank you

Prior to moving in to this house I was told everything would be done. That is why I signed off on the walkthrough. Painters came to my house along with the builder and painted my walls the wrong color. I'm not trying to go back and forth with anybody I'm just stating facts. Today is the 29th I told the builder I would be out of the country until then. I am writing this from my home now as I am back in the country. I'm tired of waiting around for work to get done. If you don't want to come over here and complete the job the right way just say that cause I'm tired of this all. Send a professional here fix my window paints my walls the right color so I don't have to speak with you again. The paint on my wall looks ridiculous. Put yourself in my shoes

The individual handling this particular instance has since separated from our company and we were unaware that this issue was still ongoing. McKinley Homes values all of our customers and makes every effort to consistently uphold our quality standards and warranty issues. We did meet back with the customer on February 27 and they did sign off that all outstanding warranty work is completed. We can provide an image of the customers sign off in regards to that warranty work.

I do accept this. 2 guys came and brought me some touch up paint and they were really nice about the situation. I didn't want this to become such a big deal but I spent money on a house and wanted it to be right. Hopefully we can move past this thanks for your time
