Maui Solar Project L.L.C.

Following contract signing, months of delays and a near complete lack of communication appear to be the norm with this company. Today is March 23, 2015 and the installation is still not complete. The process to have solar electric installed on a home that I am caretaker of began in August (2014). Contract and approval to obtain electrical permit(s) were signed the first week of September. Maui Electric did not receive the request for net zero metering approval until October 22, however the request was apparently lacking information and was not received complete until November 25. Maui Electric issued approval for the installation on December 17th. At this point installation was promised to begin at the beginning of February (2015). Installation was not started until March 12th. The racking was installed on the 12th and the panels were all installed on the 13th. The remainder of the installation was to take place on the 16th. No calls have been received from the company to let me (or the owner) know of any changes in installation dates. Virtually all communication has been initiated by me. Calls to the president of the company have gone unanswered and no response to voice mail. I would highly recommend anyone considering doing business with this company to insist on a performance clause regarding timelines with penalties for failure to meet deadlines. I have had to reschedule myself at least 6 times (so far) to accommodate installation dates provided by them. To say the least, I could not be more dissatisfied with the lack of communication and the extensive delays in this process. [redacted]
