After reviewing this complaint here are the facts:Helfman Ford saw this truck on 11/18/13 and we were asked to replace 2 tires on the front of the 2006 ***.The truck had 85324 miles at that time. This truck came equipped from the factory with 17" tires and wheels however the tires... and the wheels on the truck had been changed to non Ford aftermarket 18' wheels by the customer. We matched the tires that were currently on the truck with replacement tires. On 02/03/14 the truck returned and we were asked to replace the 2 rear tires with the same tires as were installed on 11/18/13, the truck had 86882 miles at this time. On 08/18/15 the truck returned with 99821 miles and the [redacted] requested some work to be done and one of the items was a tire issue. The tire had the appearance of blowout on the side wall and Helfman Ford replaced the tire under warranty hoping that Ford would cover the tire. Ford denied the claim and Helfman Ford chose not to charge the customer. On 09/01/15 the truck returned for a "no start" concern and a another tire concern. This time the tire had a cut in the side wall that was not going to be a warrantable item.Helfman Ford only replaced tires that were matching tires for the aftermarket wheels that the customer has on their vehicle. We will not be offering any refund.Thank youJeff S*GMHelfman Ford

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *** My dissatisfaction comes in that I disagree on having to pay any amount for the power steering repair. I continue to believe that the issue of the leak was a result of the poor craftsmanship of the ford personnel. If the leak was as significant as found, I do not understand how it was not identified in the 1st diagnostic check from the throttle body repair. Your consideration and involvement of a refund of the additional expense incurred would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time, *** ***

When would it be available for pick up as I have recently moved?

On 9/3/2015 [redacted] to Helfman Ford for a recall item. At that time the recall was done and returned to the customer. On 10/30/2015 the vehicle returned with a question of the handle, lock cylinder and transmission concern. After repairing the transmission...

concern and inspecting the lock cylinder and handle we determined that the vehicle had either been broken into or some one tried to break in. The cylinder and door handle were loose at this time however not touched by us. The vehicle was returned to the customer. On 1/1/2016 the vehicle returned for another concern and since the customer was going to have to rent a vehicle she chose not to the leave the vehicle at that time. Per [redacted] letter she did not return for 6 months. We are not responsible for prior damage or a lock that fell out due to prior damage. Jeff S[redacted]GMHelfman Ford

In a spirit of customer goodwill, I offered to split the repair bill with Mrs. [redacted] and she has declined this offer. She asked that I pay 75% of the bill.50% of the bill is all that I am willing to do.Jeff [redacted]GMHelfman Ford

Mrs. [redacted] has rejected my customer goodwill offer of 1/2 of the disputed amount.  We are not responsible for the issue. Mrs. [redacted] believes that we are. There is  nothing more I can or will say.Thank youJeff [redacted]

Ms. [redacted] was towed in to Helfman Ford on11/5/2014. It was determined to
need a throttle body replaced. Ms. [redacted] paid the repair and picked the
vehicle up on 11/5/2014. On 11/18/2014 Ms. [redacted] returned with a power
steering issue and it was determined to be a high pressure...

hose line leaking.
The hose is not located in an area around the throttle body repair and could
not have been damaged by Helfman Ford. Ms. [redacted] was given a repair price of
$595 and after [redacted] (Service advisor) spoke with [redacted] (Assistant
Service Manager) Mr.[redacted] offered to make the repair under Ford warranty for
customer goodwill. The total out of pocket amount would have been the deductible
of $50. Ms. [redacted] declined the repair and removed the vehicle from our shop.
I
understand Ms. [redacted]’s concern however the throttle body repair had nothing
to do with the power steering leak. [redacted] offered a more than fair resolution
to her issue of which she declined. I do not feel we are responsible for
anything else.
Thank you,[redacted]GM[redacted]

On 12/12/16 the [redacted]'s 2007 [redacted] with 141271 miles came to our body shop for rear in damage to be repaired. On 12/30/16 the [redacted] was picked up and driven while we waited on a special order part which was on order. The part in question was located in the...

trunk and it did not create an issue to be driven. On 1/18/17 the vehicle was returned to Helfman Ford to replace the part. On both occasions the battery had to be disconnected to make repairs. When the battery was reconnected the second time the vehicle would not start. We did try the customers second key to see if this was the issue and it was not. With the customers permission and at our expense we sent the vehicle to [redacted] of Sugar Land to determine the issue. They determined that the issue, which had nothing to do with the battery being disconnected and re connected, was an internal module in the engine compartment. Paul [redacted] , service advisor at [redacted] of Sugar Land, contacted Mr. [redacted] and was given permission for the repair and an estimate was given to Mr. [redacted] at this time. He agreed to the repair. Helfman Ford is not responsible for the electronic part that failed due to age and normal wear and tear of a 10 year old vehicle with 141271 miles on it. Helfman Ford will not refund any money spent for this repair.Jeff [redacted]GMHelfman Ford
