We contracted with Managed Moves to assist with moving my mother-in-law into an assisted living facility based on the facility's recommendationI'd originally simply intended to find a couple of movers through Task Rabbit or similar service, but decided to use this company based on that recommendation, even though more expensive, on the assumption that Managed Move's experience with the facility would help insure a smoother moveUnfortunately, I ended up being somewhat disappointed The source of my dissatisfaction with the service we received from Managed Moves was that I'd originally requested that the crew be onsite at p.mI subsequently received a phone call from a member of the Managed Move staff (whose name I don't recall), saying that was too late for the facility, even though the facility had told us directly that it was fine, and we had to make it p.mSo I contacted the crew I'd contracted with in Lacey, WA, where my mother-in-law was moving from, to arrive earlier and proceeded to hustle through the move and 2+ hour drive so I could make it to the facility by p.mto meet the Managed Move crewUnfortunately, due to traffic I didn't arrive until ~2:p.mThe crew didn't arrive until p.m., which was the time I'd originally requested In addition, the crew stated that the reason they were late was because they got lostThe primary reason I contracted with Managed Move rather than finding a crew on my own (for likely less money), was because of the recommendation from the facility and my assumption that Managed Move had experience moving residents into the facilityThe fact that the crew was late because they got lost (particularly with the ubiquity of smartphone's with buiGPS!) suggests to me that my money was not well spent Finally, I don't recall that I was informed about the $trip charge on top of the $hour minimum labor charge when I arranged for the services and only learned of it when seeing the invoice on completion of the jobI hope you can appreciate that having this charge appear after the crew arrived an hour later than the company had insisted because they got lost was truly adding insult to injury

I had a very positive experience with Managed Moves. They were accommodating, professional, kind and thoughtful. I especially appreciated [redacted] for his calm and efficient manner.

Our mother recently passed away while living at a local retirement community in Hillsboro and we needed to have her furniture given to charityWe hired Managed Moves and they did a tremendous job1) They called us ahead of time to confirm their arrival time 2) They ACTUALLY arrived at the exact time they told us 3) They took the time to offer their condolences which was very kind 4) They also went to our mother's apt to review her items the day before the scheduled move - to see if they could save us money by moving her possessions in a van rather than a more expense and larger moving truck - and indeed they were able to do soThey came through and did everything they said they would - we will recommend them to everyone we know! Thank you Brian and Billy!!

Managed Moves, LLC was very professional and efficient moving my mother-in-law into assisted livingWe especially appreciated Chelsie, the packer/unpacker for her efficient and methodical attention to detailJustin, Alex, and Perry were fast and professional in making the moveWe appreciate their professional manner and methods

I highly recommend Managed MovesThey moved my elderly father from an apartment to an independent/assisted living facility in June We utilized their packing, moving, clean-out and unpacking servicesFrom the in-person estimate to the move and unpacking, they did a terrific jobMoving, especially moving elderly people, takes a lot of special skills and experience and Managed Moves has themIn short, don't hesitate to get an estimate from Managed Moves, then you can decide for yourself
The staff at MM instilled confidence and made me and my dad feel confident, giving us more peace of mindTheir front desk staff checked in several times before and during the move to make sure everything was going well and to answer any questions we hadThey considered ways to save us money, such as looking for the most efficient ways to pack the truck to move my dad's items and handle the items to donate/recycleThey were very honest about the value of things to sell or donate, many things not having the value you thinkThey took great effort to donate as much as possible using their network of contactsThe final bill came very close to the estimateThe one surprise is that they needed to change the move date to earlier, because they deal with unexpected scheduling changes when dealing with senior movesAgain, I highly recommend Managed Moves
