I asked him to bring in car so I could inspect it. He...
brought vehicle in shortly after.I inspected his left front wheel and found the stud that holds the wheel lock on this wheel has snapped off and was missing.Nothing had been replaced and no damage was apparent on this area of vehicle. On October 28, 2016 we diagnosed check engine light and recommended throttle body be replaced. Was declined. Tires were rotated and recall 16-047 preformed. We also recommended rear brakes be replaced as they were close to the limits, work was declined. On December 16, 2016 OCTOBER 28 2016 We preformed oil and filter change. The brakeshad been replaced elsewhere. I told Mr. [redacted] we use torque sticks to reinstall lug nuts and have master to remove and re-install wheel lock. I have seen times where non dealers or someoneattempting to remove wheels bang off wheel locks without proper key. I was willing to inspect all of the torque on all lug nuts and wheel locks for all tires and replace stud at no labor for customer satisfaction as I believe we did not cause this to happen. I told him I would get him a price on the broken stud and locking wheel nut. Mr. [redacted] replied it was our fault and he was not paying for anything. He then got in his vehicle and spun his tires out of the write up area. [redacted]rear brake measurements. On DECEMBER 16 2016 We preformed oil and filter change and preformed multipoint inspection.the technician does a visual on brakes and the rear brakes were new and had been replacedelsewhere.I explained to Mr.[redacted] we did not have his wheels off and asked him if someone worked on vehicle recently,he replied he does go other places for service, but felt we were at fault.
