M & M Repairs

Review: On 3/11/14, I dropped my daughters ipod off at M&M repairs to be repaired. The outside of the ipod was in perfect condition when it was dropped off. The screen of the ipod was white which was the reason for the repair. I was told that the repair would take approximately 5 business days to complete and would cost approximately $70. On approximately 3/16/14 I received a call that the ipod was ready for pickup. When we picked the ipod up and left the store, we immediately noticed that the screen was not properly attached and could easily be separated from the ipod. We took the ipod back to the store and the technician used crazy glue to attach the screen and proceeded to tell us that crazy glue was bad for ipods and that my daughter just needed to use a snap on case to keep the screen attached to the ipod. In about 3 days the screen on the ipod failed again and we took the ipod back to the store. There was another technician working that told us the ipod would be fixed in a day or two. I caled multiple times and left several messaged with no return phone call. Finally I called off another number and immediately the phone was answered. I was told I had to come into the store for an explanation of the ipod. In the store we were told that the ipod could not be fixed. The tech said he tried another screen and it was not working either and that the ipod itself must be broken but he didnt know how to fix it. The screen was still barely attached to the ipod and the screen protector that I put on the screen was still on so the screen had not been changed so what he was saying was a lie. M&M refused to give me all of my money back (only gave $40) and left the ipod in worse condition than what it was when I brought it to them. The ipod was taken to another repair shop and was fixed. The other repair shop saw the condition M&M left the ipod in they said that poor quality work and materials were the reason the ipod was not working. The ipod is working perfectly now.Desired Settlement: I would like the remaining refund of the $30 that M&M kept that I paid them for nothing. I also feel that I am due something for time spent running back and forth to M&M 3 or 4 times and then having to locate a qualified repair shop to correctly repair the original problem and the additional problems caused by M&M repairs.

His statement reads that he left a message for me that I could stop by his place of business and pick up my refund and I received no such message from him. Since I received this message from the Revdex.com, I will stop by the business and pick up the refund. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. We have also spoken with management at [redacted] mall and they have asked that all correspondence regarding this situation be forwarded to them so it can be placed on file in their office.

M & M Repairs LLC is not a professional business. The owner does not take ownership when he breaks people’s electronic devices. When confronted about a situation, it is handles in a laughing matter. I would never patronage this establishment again. M & M Repairs LLC is not trust worthy.
