Review: I contracted with this company on Dec. 2, 2013 for $4995.00. For this amount of money I was to be introduced to 14 gentlemen that met most of my requirements in height, race, marital status& proximity, as well as character traits & hobbies. In the interview, with [redacted] I was told that the company had many male clients that would meet most of my requirements., i.e. they were 6'+, live within 40 miles, salaries were from 75,000+, etc. To date, I have had 2 dates & while both were nice men they did not meet many of my requirements. And, I only had these 2 dates because I emailed them & told them I thought it was a a scam. One date that I was called about lives in Pride...that's N La. & she didn't even know how far that was. Supposedly, there are computers that match clients, but if they input my proximity requirement they were off. One of the problems is that there is no time line on the contract. It looks like they have until my death to get me dates. I think this is a scam with big promises of individual attention to the clients & a customer base that is not what they claimed it to be. It is not that I am some old, ugly, unsophisticated woman. I am a divorced attractive, college-educated, retired professional, cultured woman of 66 (65 at the time) who is still active & fun. I believed this was a way to meet the people who don't want to hang in bars or do online dating. So, they make big promises & charge a lot of money, make a few dates, especially if the client calls. For almost $5000, I should have been called with a name at least once/twice a month. To me this agency is scamming people. I know this is not the only,or original, agency so I cannot speak for the entire company, only the Metairie branch. They do not promise that the dates will turn into relationships or marriage, I do understand that and that is fine, but I do expect to have 14 dates with men that have the majority if the requirements that I listed. And, I have changed my status several times to enlarge it and still nothinDesired Settlement: The Contract states that there is no refund & if I had had the 14 introductions that would be ok. It has been over a year and I have met 2 people. There is no time line by which these introductions have to be made so it looks like they have as many years as they want to make them. I'm not getting any younger, I'd like to meet someone while I am still active, attractive & able to travel and have fun. I think it's false advertisement because the introductions are few, not timely & don't match.

Review: I was on line applying with a dating site that was listed at Tinder Dating site. I completed a survey and was told someone would contact me. A lady ([redacted])called me & never mentioned the name of the business. I made an appointment to meet with her the next day (2/10/15). Upon arriving at the office a man was waiting. The man said he was looking for Tinder. The lady let us in & had me sit in the lobby while she escorted the man to a back office. I sat for 30 minutes & then called the number in my cell phone. The man on the other end told me he would have the lady come out to speak with me. She brought a clipboard with the exact survey I completed on line. She told me that her name was [redacted] & that the other staff member, who was to interview me had to leave, so she would be conducting both interviews. I asked why she told the man that the business name is not Tinder? I had apparently gone on the same site & applied with Tinder. She said we were mistaken. She left & about 45 minutes later she escorted the man out. We went to her office. I learned then the company's name is "Louisiana Singles", not Tinder. She told me several times during my questioning that she had the perfect man for me. She told me a background check had to be completed on me & it would take about two weeks before I would hear back from them, since it was close to Mardi Gras. She then began discussing the cost of their service, but I was promised 10 referrals. She stated that LA Singles only offers eight referrals for $5,000 to $7,500. She told me they charge men more then they charge the ladies, because they get more men applying than women. I gave her a check for $500.00, which they cashed. I called them back on 3/4/15 and was told that several e-mail had been sent to me. I only received 1 & had to answer the same questions. I had a referral, but no one contacted me. I asked to cancel my contract, but she told me someone would call me back. I called on 3/12/15 & was told I could not cancel my contract.Desired Settlement: I would like to cancel the contract. I have not had a date. A man called on the day after my 3/4/15 call. He told me he was not give my name until that day. I refused to met with him, since I no longer wanted to participate in this scam. I spoke to [redacted] & she told me, I might as well complete the contract & to state my complaint on the website. She told me I can not cancel the contract. More money is to be withdrawn from my account on 3/15/15 ($250.00). I have not used their service.

Review: I signed up with Louisiana Singles in March of 2014. At that time, they promised me 12 referrals, at least one a month. So far, in December of 2014, I have received two referrals who I met. I did receive two others, but one never contacted me, and the other one never contacted me back. So in nine months, I have had two referrals. In addition, I had absolutely nothing in common with the second referral, so wondered why we were "matched" at all. This service is very expensive, and not delivering on their promises. The last time I visited their office, I asked for a refund, and the lady I spoke with said if I hadn't gotten another referral within the next month, she would "go to bat" for a refund for me. Needless to say, this was way over a month ago. I've tried calling her and she doesn't return the calls.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my money, minus the approximate cost of the two actual referrals with whom I met.
