started reading the start up procedure that I realized she bought the wrong softner. I told her to return it and get the right one and I would switch it out. It would be easy, All the plumbing had already been moved. I forgot to glue one pipe which is 30 seconds to fix. I told her I would come at her convenience and fix it any time. I have all my correspondence with her on email saved. She asked me to install a hose bib outside on her deck so she could fill her hot tub which I did. As I was leaving she said she wanted it hooked up to the hot water so she could fill her hot tub. Hot tubs have their own heater and do not require hot water. Besides there is not enough hot water in your water heater to fill a hot tub. I did not want to argue with her after going thru this ordeal with the softner so I switched it over to the hot water. When I finished she then told me that she wanted it hooked up to both hot and cold. I told her that is a mixing valve and it is alot more expensive. She asked me to install a hose bib. It has a single handle you cannot temper water with a single handle valve. I told her I could put two valves under the sink and she could control the temperature under the sink and turn it on out side. She got mad when I told her it would cost extra. What she wanted was not common. Maybe 1 house in 50,000 has hot & cold water at an outside hose bib. She did make this clear in the beginning and I just did what I was told. Everybody's out side hose bib is hooked to the cold water. I did this job twice and was only paid for doing it once. She expected it to be done a third time for free with more material. I have installed about 5 of these water bosses. I charge $500 not $400. Once again I did not want to argue with her so I just kept my mouth shut. People usually give me a tip, they don't try and chisel me down. Even though this was not my fault, I still offered to make it right. I told to get the right softner and I would come over at her convenience and switch it out. She never wrote me back
