Review: On May 14, 2014 we took our 1995 Mercury Sable station wagon to Les Schwab because of uneven front tire wear. We received an estimate of $460.16 to fix the problem. Less than 15,000 miles (&2 tire rotations) previously, on Sept 8, 2012 we had paid Les Schwab to fix the same problem. At that time we also bought 4 new tires for a total cost of $569.41. this made a total of 16 tires we purchased from Les Schwab in less that 80, 000 miles. I've enclosed a list of purchases & work from Les Schwab over the last 8 years. We spoke to Les Schwab at their S. Lake Tahoe location and to [redacted] at their corporate headquarters ([redacted])about our excessive expenses and have received no satisfaction. Subsequent to the final estimate of $460.16 from Les Schwab ewe had the problem fixed elsewhere for $219.65 (Item #22 on the enclosed list). WE have bills and receipts to verify all 22 items on this listDesired Settlement: The last three amounts that we have spent.

Review: This complaint is about the job Les Schwab did on my car which was a really bad done alignment! They did such a lousy unprofessional job that abter couple of months I had to come back and got brushed of. Due to the alignment job the did my tires went bad and now I need a new tires. They said you can leave your car and we will get to it when we have time maybe end of the week plus they said they will charge me! I am a local taxi driver they are the only les Scwab that is local and what they did by ruining my car is unexceptible. Everything was loose in the car I had to take it to another repair shop. Very dissapointed and want them to fix my car and buy a news tires. Never gonna be back to this place and will take all the action to get the money abck and compensation!Desired Settlement: Get me a set of new tires that has gone really bad due to the unprofessional and careless job that has been provided to be when I took my car for the alignment.

We regret the customer had a negative experience at the South Lake Tahoe Les Schwab Tire Center. Les Schwab prides itself on superior customer service, takes reports seriously, and investigates the underlying facts of all customer concerns. According to Les Schwab’s records, Mr. [redacted] brought his 2003 GMC Yukon (“vehicle”) to the tire center on April 30, 2015. Mr. [redacted] informed Les Schwab’s technician he had taken his vehicle to a mechanic and had some front end parts replaced and now the vehicle was experiencing play in the steering. In an attempt to fix the steering issue and at the direction of the customer, our technician performed an alignment. Les Schwab successfully aligned the vehicle within the manufacturer specifications. Since the alignment was performed within the manufacturer specifications, Les Schwab denies that this service could have caused premature wear to his tires. Although we disagree with his allegations, we want to assure the customer we have taken his concerns seriously, conducted a thorough investigation, and remain committed to providing the best service possible to our customers.

I am rejecting this response because:I am rejecting this response because:only after alignment performed by Les Schwab my tires went bad. I had to do it again. If they did such a great job as they claim I wouldn't write a complaint in a first place. We are local business in TAhoe and suppose to help each other not to take the money do an unprofession job and calim it to be well done.I was hoping they will take responsibility. Plus when I came back to resolve my original issue they said to leave the car and they will fix it for a charge of course when they have time till Saturday and I came on Monday. we are taxi business and the word abour repair shops spread fast, we want to trust and feel confident in the places we give our vehicles to fix.

Les Schwab provides the alignment specifications to the customer at the time the alignment is performed and does not keep record of them. Mr. [redacted] had the documentation for the original alignment performed on April 30, 2015. Over three months later, Mr. [redacted] arrived at the tire center and demanded an immediate alignment be performed immediately, free of charge pursuant to Les Schwab’s warranty. The tire center was unable to perform the alignment due to a full alignment center was full of vehicles arriving prior to Mr. Zahir’s arrival. Les Schwab’s Alignment service and warranty contract expressly states “Les Schwab warrants our alignment for a period of 30 days. Should incorrect alignment be detected within this 30 day period, Les Schwab will re­align your vehicle to specifications free of charge.” Despite being outside the warranty’s limitation, Les Schwab would have gladly performed a free alignment inspection if Mr. [redacted] could have waited for Les Schwab to finish servicing the customers in front of him. Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] indicated that waiting (or scheduling an appointment) was unacceptable and left before Les Schwab could inspect his vehicle. Les Schwab would like to invite Mr. [redacted] to contact any tire center to make an appointment for a free alignment inspection.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my concern, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

What I would like to mention is that I was offered to leave the car till Saturday not to wait for the previous customer, that was the only option given. I dont want to ague anymore and fight for the truth. I will accept a free alignent inspection and call it a day. It can go on for a long time. Thank you
