They claim to help if you take ill while traveling overseasNot my experienceIt was just the opposite They said do everything on your own, and submit bills when you return
Should have said, "TRY and collect when you return."
They do all they can NOT pay the claimEven had a woman say they don't pay for a car service from the airport because my wife wasn't ambulatoryWe were flying back to the USA because she was so ill she had trouble standingAllianz offered absolutely NO help
Because they offered no help, we made decision for my wife to try and recover in a hotel room, rather than in a hospital in China First, it was much nicer than any of hospitals thereSecond, it was cheaper than being in a hospital Now, Allianz had already said to do whatever was necessary and they would reimburse usNot the caseThey declined to pay the hotel bill, because she was not in the hospital They said they would pay it for me, if she had been admitted to a hospital facility
They didn't offer any help in getting us back to the States We used a mileage That's a to them They wanted us to pay for the trip Sure Then, they would not have paid that either
Run away when someone suggests buying their policy

Their advertisement is misleading. It should say up front if you have to cancel for medical reasons you must have a doctor's note. The omission is mis-leading

Our insurance programs are like any other type of insurance in that there are terms, conditions, and exclusions that impact coverageThese terms were readily available for review in the booking path prior to purchase
The certificate of insurance listed several conditions that were excluded from coverage, among those were existing medical conditions. As the consumer was treated for the conditions that caused her loss during the day exclusionary period we were unable to provide coverage for the loss
My review shows that the proper decision was made

I bought a round trip ticket to Australia last September, I was diagnosed with cancer in mid January I had a tumor threatening a colon blockage for which I was promptly scheduled for surgery to remove it in early February in hopes of recovering enough to be able to still make my March trip to Australia I had complications from the surgery for which I was hospitalized a second time within a week of my scheduled departureI was under the caref of my surgeon, seeing him every week to two weeks, tending an open incision from the original surgery for nearly weeksMy surgeon provided the
physicians form stating he did not recommend I take the
tripThis should have been enough, yet Allianz insists they
need a second form from the referring doctor I hadn't
seen my gastroenterologist since January when he
discovered the tumor by performing a colonoscopyYet
they insist he must also provide a physicians form "in
case my claim violates the pre existing condition waiver"
My surgeon clearly stated I was diagnosed with colon
cancer in mid January of This company has had
my claim for daysMy $plane ticket remains on
my credit card racking up interest charges
I can't possibly have predicted this health condition I did
everything in my power to try to go on the tripI simply
wasn't healthy enough to do soMy gastroenterologist did
provide a letter for me to upload to my claim as I was
unable to access any forms a subsequent timeI tried
every link I had and could not get the formAllianz insists
his statement must be on the physicians formThey have his contact information, yet made no effort to contact him for clarification they say they need
My friend who did make the trip, got his camera stolenIt was caught on a surveillance camera and a police report was filledThey would not reimburse him because he did not have his original receipt for his cameraDo you keep every receipt for every purchase you make?
I spoke with a customer service rep and a claims evaluator for minutes todayThis ess my second call to Allianz asking them why my surgeon's recommendation wasn't good enough I got the repeated response, "we must have the form"
I believe this company is doing everything in their power not to provide me coverage that I paid over $forI filed my claim in late February and I remain unrefunded as of late May I will look very hard to find a different trip insurance provider in the future and I will vehemently recommend that no one use this trip insurance service!! I don't understand how the Revdex.com fits nit use this feedback add part of the company's rating

I've purchased several trip insurance policies with Allianz and never needed to use themFinally, I did file a claim as I needed to cancel a trip due to medical reasons, a qualified reason that is listed within the acceptable claims portion of the contractAfter taking about two months to process my claim, they decided not to reimburse me for my airfare for a reason that literally made me laugh out loudAt least I have a credit voucher with the airline, however I feel like all of the money I've spent over the years on these insurance policies were a complete wastePoor customer service, deceitful policies, complete waste of my time and money

Thank you for your help. I am having a hardest time showing the charge on my credit card. Since the travel agency is located in Greece, they do things differently. They don't keep the credit card record on file for their clients' security. They went extra mile to create a letterhead with the credit card information. To add to the complication, my credit card was based in Japan so it was charged in Japanese yen. The insurance company is insisting on showing the amount in the U.Sdollar which will be very difficult for me. Please help me with this issue. It has been more than months since I cancel this trip and $is too much to wait forever. I am attaching the letterhead my travel agent gave me as proof of paymentThank you *** ***
