[redacted] scheduled a move with our company for June 6th, 2014.  He was advised the rate would be $375 for the first four hours of service with each additional hour after being $115.  This was for a full service move with three movers and a 24ft moving truck.  It did not include any...

packing; only loading of items, some furniture disassembly and reassembly, and unloading of items at the next destination.  The customers were moving from a fully furnished 4 bedroom home to a 2 bedroom apartment.
Our movers worked on this job for 9 hours.  It was brought to our attention that [redacted] was unhappy with the length it took to complete the move and that one of the movers did not move as fast as the other two.  Immediately when this was brought to our attention we began to assess the situation and address the problems.  It was explained to [redacted] that many factors affect the length of the move.  One of our movers was tasked with breaking down two bunk beds at the load location which takes time and it took away from him assisting with the other two movers in loading the moving truck.  Secondly, the customer was not completely packed and it required our movers to assist with picking up miscellaneous items in the home.  Another factor that caused the move to take a longer was that our movers had to make a second trip to load and an additional trip to storage.  At the unload location our mover was again tasked with reassembling the two bunk beds which took him away from assisting the other movers.
We did acknowledge the complaint of the one mover working at a slower pace and compensated the customer by providing a total of a 12% discount on the move.  Below is the correspondence which was sent to the customer on the day after the move which mirrors this complaint.  We made an effort to resolve this matter before he filed this complaint.  He accepted the terms of the discount and stated he thought it was a fair discount.  While he expresses a complaint on the service he did provide a tip to our movers as a gesture that he was happy with the services we provided.
We feel we handled this situation quickly, efficiently, and fairly based on the totality of the circumstances.  The customer was aware he could have terminated our services at any time during the move.  We are happy to provide any further information on this matter.
Sincerely,

We apologize that you felt disappointed about your move.
Many factors must be considered when making a move.  Our movers were
required to make two trips and make stops at additional destinations
(i.e. Storage Unit).  It was also requested of they to disassemble and
reassemble furniture.  These variables can cause a longer move than
anticipated.

Our movers provided service for 9 hours.  Due to your unhappiness and keeping in line with our customer
service values a 12% discount was applied to your bill. We also
addressed the issue of the one mover working slower and effective that
day he is no longer a mover with this company.
Per our conversation on 6/6/14 at the end of the move you stated you
accepted the discount as fair and we proceeded to close out your account
for the day.  At this time we feel we rectified the situation by
providing you with a fair discount and addressing the issue of the slow
mover.
We appreciate your business.
Sincerely,

These guys were great. On time, hard working, and they know how to pack a truck. They moved an entire house in only two trips.

Review: I had a move on June 6th at 9 a.m.. I was very disappointed in the outcome of that move. I felt the movers took more time than absolutely necessary which drove my bill up higher. [redacted] from Customer services did discount me about 8% of the overall move however I still think the price was way over what it should have been I felt it should have ranged between the $500 -$600 mark based on the hours I felt they could have completed the job instead of almost $900.

we asked the movers to put specific items into a storage unit in a certain order and they just shove everything in which now puts me in a position to have to reorganize the storage unit. One of the movers every time I looked at them was barely moving anything so this was basically a two person move and they took a extremely long time to reassemble my kids bunk bed which I felt could have been done in a more timely fashion. There was def a intention to obtain additional hours that were not necessary.

I will not be recommending your service to anybody I know because under no circumstances was this labor 4 less. I would have paid a lot less for a more known mover to gave complted this move. I am tempted to report this to the Revdex.com if this matter is not resolved in a timely fashion. I do not feel at 8% discount by any means solve this problem.Desired Settlement: I would like a $200-$300 refund of the price of the move

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Labor4Less does not realize that the move would not have taken as long if the third employee did his share of the move. It was never an option to cancel the move at anytime as stated prior since there was always items on the truck that needed to be transported. The deal that was given could of been provided in any manner. According to the payment options they just waived a fee for using a credit or debit card which would of been waived if I paid in cash or [redacted] anyhow. This matter has not been resolved and is just being skipped over to avoid responsibility. I will be filing further complaints if this matter is not resolved professionally.
