Review: my friends and I came to the restaurant, waited 20 minutes to put in our order, and then waited an hour for our food. when I recieved my food, the sauce was terrible. I requested to send it back and order something else. The waitress insisted on changing the sauce and if I still didnt like it, it would be on the house. So I changed the sauce. it was still not good. She said no problem and that there would be no charge. When we requested the bill the owner of the restaurant walked over and said there was nothing wrong with the food and was still charging me 6.95 instead of the full 13.95 because it cost him money. I explained to him that I didnt eat any of the food and dont feel I should have pay for it. He said I had to pay and didnt care what I thought. He also said that just because I am the customer doesnt make me G-d and that his business comes from G-d. He said we couldnt leave until we paid the entire bill. after arguing for 20 minutes we paid and finally left.Desired Settlement: I want the $6.95 refunded back to me. I dont feel that I need to pay if the food was not good. I asked for something else, but was asked to try a different sauce which I did. I was told I would not need to pay for the food if I didnt like it and I was completely disrespected and insulted in front of a restaurant full of people.

In addressing this issue, I would like to note that our main goal as a company is to provide excellent customer service. We realize the importance of customer service because we know that customer satisfaction is the key to growing our business. With this core philosophy in mind, I would like to explain the events on the night of the alleged problem with [redacted].

Ms. [redacted] had ordered a Ravioli with Marinara sauce. Please keep in mind that the same chef has been making that Marinara sauce in our restaurant for the last three years. Also keep in mind how many people that very same day had ordered a dish with Marinara sauce that we had no issues with. Upon receiving the dish, Ms. [redacted] had complained that she didn't like the dish. The waitress tried accommodating the customer and asked her to make her another dish with a different sauce. Upon receiving the second dish she still was unhappy with the taste.

Now I would understand a customer asking not to pay for the bill if the food served was spoiled. We as a restaurant we would be embarrassed that such a thing could occur and beg the costumer forgiveness and do anything we could to make it up to him/her. However, this was not the case on that evening. What did happen is that Ms. [redacted] simply didnt "LIKE" the food. In an effort to please her we provided another dish at OUR expense. She responded by "DISLIKING" the second dish as well. It is impossible to make a dish that everyone in the world will like and enjoy. People have different taste buds and its impossible to make a dish that can satisfy every pallet. Just because she didn't "LIKE" the dish doesn't mean she doesn't pay for the dish. There is no condition upon entering our establishment that you will like what you eat or your money back. It's ludicrous to think that way. If you don't like the food you dont ever have to eat there again. It's as simple as that. We even went out of our way and only charged her half the price on one of the dishes that she ordered. All the other ladies at Ms. [redacted]'s table were satisfied with their food and had no complaints.

I will end the response to this complaint with the simple logic that if you order food and you happened not to like, you still need to pay for it. If you received food that was spoiled, than you don't have to pay for it.
