[redacted] I am surprised to be seeing this here this morningMy salesman just informed me that he spoke with you late on Saturday, when we were closedHe said that you had an issue with the vehicle misfiring and that you were supposed to bring the vehicle to us today to get the issue addressedIf you would like to bring your vehicle in to have our service department check it out for you, that offer still standsThank youRespectfully, L&S Automotive

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: In the beginning of my message/complaint to your business I did state the staff were very nice I am not mad or upset about the purchase of the car, or the experience I had with the staff Overall is was pleasent My point of this complaint was is that I was lied to I will be more than happy to provide any form of proof I still have the bad part that they claimed they replaced, the scotch tape that was around the part, as well as a printed out engine code receipt/info sheet As to giving your salesman a call at 3:and according to business hours you were still open Greg was not available when I called and I was advised to call back So I did and there was no answer and at this point my car is barely moving, so I had to wait until I was safe off the road To travel miles it took me almost an hour and as soon as I got to the small shop, I tried again Greg answered the call and I explained the story Yes, he did tell me to come by on Monday and they would work with me on pricing However; I needed to get home I was in Mass thinking that I had a vehicle that was fixed the first time If I didn't fix the car there, there's no way I would be able to bring it to your shop What really gets me is that the part that needed to be replaced was covered in .50c tape you can buy at walmart to mask the problem, and I was lied to by the mechanic I wouldn't have an issue here if I was not lied to and my life as well as the life of others was not put at risk If someone crashed into we could have all gotten seriously hurt, or killed, all trying to complete a task that your staff told me was resolved I am surprised that your service department's idea of replacement is putting scotch tape on a broken and vital part, and putting it back into the car to mask the issue is acceptable Sincerely, [redacted] ***

It did not take 2 months for me to contact Chris from L&S Auto. Days later I called and informed him of initial problems. Also I was not offered the option to purchase a warranty for the car. Neither was I told of his as is policy. But Chris was so rude and short with me on my first call when the car needed an alternator and a battery. I was very hesitant to call him back about anything . He has a very argumentative personality so I didn't want to deal with that .Yes Chris did offer to install an engine at no labour cost but 1) he sold me a recalled car and 2) he wasn't friendly on the phone so why would I go back there and deal with him. I spent lots of time explaining to Chris that the car was a gift for my son who's in college and how important a reliable car was to me. At this time Chris could have offered an extended warranty but he didn't .  Chris informed that he would check the car throughly but that was not the case. So far I have put in an alternator, battery, engine, tires, and struts. This will not be the end. There will be a lawsuit and a complaint with the [redacted] to follow. What Chris did was not right or ethical and needs to be held responsible . Of course I know he response will be 'bring it' . Trust me I will . Hopefully I'll be his last victim. Being a [redacted] and [redacted] I have many ears with in the sound of my voice and I will make sure everyone knows to watch out for L&S auto .

Per our conversation, we determined that you were confused about which coil pack was replaced. To clarify, we replaced #1, not #5. Because you were out of state and could not make it back to have us replace #5 when it failed, we agreed to reimburse you for that coil pack as well. We apologize for the confusion and thank you again for your business.

Review: On Friday June 26th 2015 I purchased a 2007 [redacted] TC/127000 miles from Chris L[redacted] L&S Automotive at [redacted]. This was a gift to my son to drive back to his college which is located in [redacted]. On Sunday June 28th when my son was on his way back to college the check engine light came on and the car wouldn't start. The car was towed and found out the car needed an alternator and a new battery. I called Chris the following Monday and told him of our situation to which he replied ' So what do you want me to do" Chris seemed upset and annoyed that I had called him.Eventually he said that I can bring the car in on Tuesday.I told Chris the car was in [redacted] . I bought a new battery and an alternator and everything seemed fine .About a one month later there was a loud knocking and grinding in the engine .At this point the car was not able to be driven.

The car was towed to [redacted] and they informed me the there was no oil in the car due to the oil consumption recall issue that is affecting [redacted] and [redacted] cars. The engine had ceased up and I was informed that my car would need a new engine. [redacted] said they can do it for $5K . The next day I called Chris and informed him that the car he sold me had a bad engine . I was very upset but Chris answer to me was' I can't tell the future,so how would I know the car wouldn't last. We got into a verbal shouting match over the phone and Chris eventually hung up on me. I called him back and yelled back at him and then hung up on him. Later that day Chris called me back to apologize and offered sell me a new engine and he would have his shop install it with no charge for labor. I told him I would think about it. After doing some research I found out that [redacted] car are all having oil consumption issues. There is a nation recall on these vehicles. I called [redacted] and they told my that a letter was sent out to all vehicle owners in May of 2015 informing them of the problems with this car. I feel Chris L[redacted] and L&S Automotive should bear full responsibility for replacing the engine in my 2007 [redacted] TC. In the three months we had the car it was only driven 5 times.

I found a mechanic who agreed to replace my engine for $3500.

Thank you

Yours truly

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like Chris L[redacted] and L&S automotive to refund me the $3500 I am spending on a new engine for the car he sold m**
