We were told we had severe issues rendering our chimney unusable and which would cost 3k to fixA second inspection by a qualified company showed there was nothing wrong and the chimney is usable and safeThey tried using bullying tactics such as telling us our house would burn down if these issues were not seen to, and that the adjacent wall would rotI would absolutely recommend getting a second opinion, especially if they tell you you need a new cover and chase as that seems to be their specialty judging by my experience and other reviews

They came out; the door to my fireplace had broken glassThey told me I didn't really need the door, so I discarded it
Now my fireplace is basically uselessFills the house with smokeThey made a couple of efforts to fix it, but didn't replace the door which is what is really needed
To add insult to injury, not only did they render my fireplace useless, but they keep calling and mailing me ("We haven't been out to your place since If you have any questions regarding your fireplace or chimney, I would be happy to answer"), despite my having asked three or four times now that they stop contacting me
They don't stand by their work, they won't obey the law regarding advertisingAvoid like the plague

In Sept.2017, two men from Chimney Sweeps came to our house to clean the chimneyWe were told "good news", our chimney did not need sweepingWe were charged a $inspection fee onlySix weeks later in Nov.2017, we had a chimney fire and the fire deptwas calledFortunately, we were able to put out the fire prior to their arrival, but, to be on the safe side, they climbed on the roof and continued to spray it down, while also checking inside the house and attic.The fire depttold us we were extremely lucky the house didn't burn downA few days later, I called another chimney sweep company to assess damages and we were told there was still a lot of residue in the lower portion of the flue and it could not have been OK weeks agoNow the fireplace is no longer usableOnce there is a flue fire the fireplace needs to be replaced, so we now face extensive repair work Also, in Sept when they came out to inspect/sweep the chimney they seemed more interested in repairing roof ventsWe did not have them do any repair workThen they double billed us when I gave them my credit card for the $fee and my wife wrote a check for $which they acceptedA week later I noticed the double billing, called them, and they immediately corrected it
