From: M [redacted] [mailto:[email protected]] As I understand it, this next step is not binding on Knox Concrete Construction.Since I coincided getting the sideway portion fixed and asked for just the step to fixed I doubt they will make any effort to adjust their positionThe step was not installed right, it's malformed and just doesn't look rightWhen their foreman came out and took pictures, he knew it wasn't rightThey had an opportunity to step up and say the would fix just the step and it looks like they ignored the Revdex.com for the past month.I'm sure it would be a waste of my time which is worth something in trying to settle this matterI have serious doubts KCC would change their positionThey know they did job wrong and after months of ignoring it, they won. They have full payment and they don't have to fix itI've hired someone else to come in and cut the sidewalk out and redo itPlease inform KCC I will at every opportunity let anyone who is thinking of having concrete work done, not to use their company I had at least another $15-20k work to be done on my driveway, they will not get that work.I thank you for your time in trying to settle this matterOn a final note, I do not feel KCC warrant's the A+ rating. You can consider the matter closed on my part as I feel KCC will not make a good faith effort to resolve the matter and never did.Regards, [redacted] ***

To whom it may concern, We, Knox Concrete Construction, performed work as requested by Mr***Mr [redacted] directed our foreman to remove forms and change his sidewalk to go with the grade of the ground instead of how we had it formedAt this time, he was advised that this would not be level and that it would take out the terraces we had planned for in his projectHe also insisted that we move the pins on his step as he did not like the shape that the step appeared to be; we did this and he approved everything and said it was what he wantedHis concerns to be sure the forms and pins were exactly how he wanted them were discussed on a couple phone calls and we do have emails from him requesting the changes and also his approvalThe back sidewalk, the portion of our work he is happy with is the only area he did not dictate changing of formsMr [redacted] provided a letter with his final payment two weeks after we finished the job, this is the only communication that was received after completion of the job that he was not satisfiedWe reached out to him to better understand the situation and attempt to make a happy customer out of himOur foreman who ran the project went back out to meet with Mr [redacted] on the date and time specified by Mr***He politely reminded him that these issues he was unhappy with were things he requested to be changed and that we did what he askedHowever, did bring back pictures to discuss the options with his supervisorWhile trying to review the project to see if there was a solution, as we are not apt go back and tear it out and re-pour it at our cost since we did what he asked and he approved the placement with his changesWe were working through some options for Mr***During this time, we began receiving many demanding, ill toned emails from Mr***, including legal threatsWe conversed with our legal team and it was advised best to stop responding to Mr [redacted] as his harassment had begun to reach a level that they would prefer to handle if necessaryWe strive very hard to provide great quality work and to satisfy all of our customers and unfortunately, this will have to be the first situation where have to accept the fact that that is not always going to be possible

I am rejecting this response because:Please note my responses based on his reply. To whom it may concern, "We, Knox Concrete Construction, performed work as requested by Mr***Mr*** directed our foreman to remove forms and change his sidewalk to go with the grade of the ground instead of how we had it formed."First the contract has a provision in it that if I made a changed to the work I would charged $for the changeThat never took place, the crew foreman had the sketch which he did not show me, most likely that showed what was originally agreed to when we had the walk thru weeks earlierHe told me that it would not be best to do that and that I should just go with a plain sidewalkThe change again was not initiated by me but rather by the crew foremanIf he say's otherwise, he's lyingThe crew foreman indicated the best course at that point would be to go without any tiers. I believe now they just didn't want to do the work and to take the easiest way out to get the sidewalk in as fast as possibleAgain, if I requested the change, I should have been told it would be another $200, I would never have paid that went with the original layoutThe crew is to blame for this change."At this time, he was advised that this would not be level and that it would take out the terraces we had planned for in his projectHe also insisted that we move the pins on his step as he did not like the shape that the step appeared to be; we did this and he approved everything and said it was what he wanted."The step was never changed and I have pictures to prove it, the crew never may any changes from the time the forms were put in to the time the concrete was pouredAgain, I have photos of the forms the night before the concrete was poured, the shape of the step was a factor in my email that I sent to the company the night before which they responded that it would be fixed the next morning before the concrete was pouredYou can compare the shape of the form and the concrete step and there is no differenceThat means they never made any attempt to change the forms the morning the concrete was pouredAgain, the crew is lying about what they performed based on what I asked forWhen it comes to the sidewalk being level, I was expecting some minor grade walking East to West towards the poolWhat I am most concerned about is the 4" pitch North to South on the sidewalkThe crew made no attempts what so ever to make sure the sidewalk was level from side to sideWho in their right mind would agreed to have a sidewalk put in with a 4" pitch from side to side? I wouldn't."His concerns to be sure the forms and pins were exactly how he wanted them were discussed on a couple phone calls and we do have emails from him requesting the changes and also his approval."That's not true either, the morning of the pour, the form was not changed and I was told it would be taken care ofI had work to perform for my job at home and was unable to supervise your crew. Again, the form NEVER was changed based on the photo of the form which is what I based my email on the night before and the actual concrete step and sidewalk that resulted. "The back sidewalk, the portion of our work he is happy with is the only area he did not dictate changing of forms."That's only because the sidewalk is on a flat surface with straight lines, it was a simple job. "Mr*** provided a letter with his final payment two weeks after we finished the job, this is the only communication that was received after completion of the job that he was not satisfiedWe reached out to him to better understand the situation and attempt to make a happy customer out of him."And I followed that up with multiple emails which most were ignored until the foreman came back outI was never told until now that you have no intention of fixing the issueAfter that, all emails were ignored except for one emailAfter that, nothingThat lead to this complaint."Our foreman who ran the project went back out to meet with Mr*** on the date and time specified by Mr***He politely reminded him that these issues he was unhappy with were things he requested to be changed and that we did what he askedHowever, did bring back pictures to discuss the options with his supervisorWhile trying to review the project to see if there was a solution, as we are not apt go back and tear it out and re-pour it at our cost since we did what he asked and he approved the placement with his changesWe were working through some options for Mr***."Again, I DID NOT REQUEST THE CHANGE TO THE SIDEWALK, I was TOLD by THE CREW it was the best option NOT to have the tier sidewalkThey replaced a tiered sandstone set of steps, I was looking for something to replace that in kind, what I got was a plain sidewalk that is badly pitched to one side that is unsafe at times to walk on."During this time, we began receiving many demanding, ill toned emails from Mr***, including legal threatsWe conversed with our legal team and it was advised best to stop responding to Mr*** as his harassment had begun to reach a level that they would prefer to handle if necessary."You were ignoring all of my emails, I couldn't even get a simple Yes or No out of you. In one email I asked, "Are you going to fix the sidewalk, Yes or No" not sure if that can be construed as harassment."We strive very hard to provide great quality work and to satisfy all of our customers and unfortunately, this will have to be the first situation where have to accept the fact that that is not always going to be possible." I'm not asking for the entire sidewalk to be ripped out as I told the foreman when he visited the site, I would even live with the step as it is if I had been given the option but the company never provided any options to me, before or after the visit by the foremanWhen I asked about it days after the visit I was told "why are you asking so early in the process, it's only been days" so I stoppedI gave them about a month before I asked them about a decision and all I got was silenceNow I finally know where they stand and how they operate as a businessMy concern is for other customers, they need to make sure the crew doesn't talk them into making any changes to a project just to make their job easierSince it looks like the matter is closed by the company, I will not communicate with them any further in the future, however as far as I'm concerned they're not a A+ businessI will never recommend this company to any friends or family for any work.I'm rejecting it mainly because the crew lied about their part in the project and couldn't put in a simple, FLAT sidewalk

To whom it may concern, We, Knox Concrete Construction, performed work as requested by Mr. [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] directed our foreman to remove forms and change his sidewalk to go with the grade of the ground instead of how we had it formed. At this time, he was advised that this would not be level and...

that it would take out the terraces we had planned for in his project. He also insisted that we move the pins on his step as he did not like the shape that the step appeared to be; we did this and he approved everything and said it was what he wanted. His concerns to be sure the forms and pins were exactly how he wanted them were discussed on a couple phone calls and we do have emails from him requesting the changes and also his approval. The back sidewalk, the portion of our work he is happy with is the only area he did not dictate changing of forms. Mr. [redacted] provided a letter with his final payment two weeks after we finished the job, this is the only communication that was received after completion of the job that he was not satisfied. We reached out to him to better understand the situation and attempt to make a happy customer out of him. Our foreman who ran the project went back out to meet with Mr. [redacted] on the date and time specified by Mr. [redacted]. He politely reminded him that these issues he was unhappy with were things he requested to be changed and that we did what he asked. However, did bring back pictures to discuss the options with his supervisor. While trying to review the project to see if there was a solution, as we are not apt go back and tear it out and re-pour it at our cost since we did what he asked and he approved the placement with his changes. We were working through some options for Mr. [redacted]. During this time, we began receiving many demanding, ill toned emails from Mr. [redacted], including legal threats. We conversed with our legal team and it was advised best to stop responding to Mr. [redacted] as his harassment had begun to reach a level that they would prefer to handle if necessary. We strive very hard to provide great quality work and to satisfy all of our customers and unfortunately, this will have to be the first situation where have to accept the fact that that is not always going to be possible.
