I am rejecting this response because:
When I walked in Klassic Auto, I mentioned to the owner that I needed a dependable vehicle because I was having problems getting to work. The Owner said he would work with me, I felt confident that I would have to put some work into the vehicle and in the same token, I could start to improve my credit. I have classic money that I did not have, but I was happy that the owner was working with me. I need to get the car inspected, but I could not drive the vehicle because Klassic gave me a car without having it inspected. I took a chance and went to my mechanic, and my mechanic told me that the *** (**) was garbage, who asked me who sold me this I told he, he said classic auto has a reputationn for fraud. I asked him what could we do, he said your not hearing me the car is worthless, the chassis is rotted, through, the leaking of gas is due to the fuel line is completely rotted, out, and he or not other mechanic would pass this car. I went on blue book and found that the owner had marked up the vehicle times the worth. I called the owner and he told me to come in, I asked for another vehicle he said I couldn't afford it, he sent me over to his other lot for another vehicle, to make a long story short, I test drove the car and complained right away. Klassic mechanic said that I needed tires which I put on the vehicle, a tune up and the car drives real good. I picked up the car the next day, the car was in bad shape. I took the car to another mechanic, he said the could not pass this vehicle, the odometer and speedometer had been tampered with, the shocks were rotted together, the brakes were shot, the on engine light had been tampered with the bulb was removed. I signed the documents for a dependable car, and I stand behind my attempts to get a dependable vehicle for work, but not to be fraud by classic. When I came back for a refund, he gave me the *** which was in worse shape. Klassic is a scam, and I will do whatever I can do legally to be reimbursed my money in full. How does one sell cars RENT to OWN and they can pass inspection. Oh by the way his mechanic said I could use a mechanic that would pass my inspection I'd just need to give him 250$. I gave classic auto 1700$ to date and until this has mad no attempt to resovle this. I want to be given back my money in full. I did not drive any of those busted cars because I could not get neither one of them to pass inspection. *** Takes advantage of people who need transportation. It stops now

Steven m[redacted] is a liar,a fast talker, and bamboozles people all the time. Do not do business with them. You will regret it.

January 15, 2016To Whom It May Concern:Klassic Kids Inc is a used car sales business located in Bethlehem PA.On or about November 21, 2015, [redacted] stopped in at the place of business located at [redacted] Bethlehem, PA known as Klassic Kids Inc. He expressed interest in looking at...

a 1984 [redacted] Motor home located on our lot. He expressed interest in the vehicle and wanted to go on a test drive. He took the vehicle for a test ride that started on [redacted] and went onto [redacted] following ** to [redacted] which was about 10 or so miles. While on the test drive, we located the original owners manual and lots of documentation for the work done on the vehicle by the prior owner. [redacted] seemed interested and stated he would be back.[redacted] came back after he stated he did some of his own research on the specific model but wanted to check it out again and wanted to know if he could take the manual and papers to review the documentation on the vehicle. We allowed [redacted] to take the documents with the promise to return same to the lot the next day, which he did. At that time he become increasingly more interested in the vehicle and discussed the condition of the vehicle. As the motorhome was a diesel and since Klassic Kids does not have an in house mechanic that works on diesel machines, Klassic Kids agreed to have the motorhome checked over and the motorhome was sent out and checked by a garage. The garage contacted Klassic Kids and indicated the vehicle was in overall good condition and stated they could inspect same if Klassic Kids was interested in having it further checked out for inspection. Klassic Kids obliged and the garage inspected and passed the vehicle. When [redacted] came back to the office expressing interest in buying the Vehicle on a cash deal, Klassic Kids passed along the information that the garage man indicated; that the vehicle was in overall good condition and it passed inspection. Klassic Kids made no representation other than the vehicle was looked at and inspected.Mr. Lauer certainly did his homework before entering into the purchase of this vehicle. On or about November 27, 2015 the sale of the 1984 [redacted] Motor home was initiated and completed with [redacted]. We prepared the necessary paperwork for the sale of the vehicle and all paperwork was signed. We will point out that the vehicle is sold "AS IS without any warranty either expressed or implied. My letter should stop here as we are not obligated to assist with [redacted] issues any further.[redacted] took the vehicle and drove off the lot. Later that evening, he contacted Klassic Kids to state he had not gotten very far and the vehicle was not running right. It seemed to be running hot. As a goodwill gesture, Klassic Kids advised [redacted] we will attempt to help him. Klassic Kids instructed [redacted] to leave the vehicle at a nearby parking lot and leave the keys on the front tire as we would send a tow truck. The 1st tow truck responded that same evening however no keys were left so the vehicle could not be moved. After some back and forth with [redacted], the following morning a second attempt to tow the vehicle was made. Prior to towing the vehicle, the mechanic saw a puddle of antifreeze around the vehicle opened the hood and saw there was a hose that let loose. He left and secured clamps, hose and antifreeze to get the vehicle up and running. However the vehicle did not start, so we towed our yard so we could take a more thorough look at the vehicle to try and troubleshoot the issue with it not running. We did keep in contact with [redacted] the entire time we were looking over the vehicle. Unfortunately, we were not able to troubleshoot the problem any further. We would like to point out that we did attempt to assist [redacted] with his issue. This issue did occur after [redacted] took possession of this vehicle, and at some point while he was driving it, a water hose blew. [redacted] continued todrive the vehicle which in turn overheated the motor. [redacted] must have redlined the temperature running the vehicle hot.On Saturday, December 26, 2015 [redacted] did come into the office and we spent time with him going over the issues, the contract and the future. [redacted] asked us to have the vehicle towed to a location he desired as we understand he will bring it to a specialty mechanic.Again, we had no obligation to troubleshoot his problem. All of our car sales are purchased AS IS and we attach a copy of the document signed at the time of the sale as well as the signs posted in our business office stating the AS IS policy as well.Respectfully,Jeanne A.Customer Relations

Re:

ID
#[redacted]
Ms.
A[redacted] acknowledges correctly that I “did my homework” before
puchasing the vehicle. She does not mention that in addition to
taking it for a test drive (a bit less than the 10 mile distance that
she specifies), I requested that I be allowed to take it to a
mechanic near my home to have it checked, as I was concerned
particularly that the brakes and motor be in good condition. Mr.
M[redacted] declined this request, citing the distance involved. I live
about 50 miles from his place of business and only recently began
working in the area, so I
was unfamiliar with any of the local repair shops. I contacted a
nearby RV facility ([redacted] in Bath, PA), but they were unable to
inspect it within a reasonable period of time. I relayed this
information to Mr. M[redacted].
Mr.
M[redacted] assured me that the vehicle was in good condition and said that
he would have it inspected (there was no sticker on the vehicle) to
make sure that it was. He then reported that it passed inspection
and that it was in very good condition. And no point during our
multiple conversations did he point to the signs on the wall,
particularly the one saying that “all of our cars are junk, no
b..s..” Instead he
repeatedly told me that it had been well maintained and was in good
condition. Those signs were visible on his wall and I took note of
them. This was one of the primary reasons that I asked for his
assurances. One cannot hang a sign on the wall, particularly one
that could possibly be taken as less than serious, and have that sign
override or negate verbal assurances. Regardless of what his signs
said (and again, he never mentioned them) he assured me that the
vehicle was in good condition and had
passed inspection without problems. I
trusted him to be a man of honor and that his word was his bond.
When I
test drove the vehicle the week before it had not been driven
recently and it was cold
when started. When I
arrived at about 4:15 on the 27th
of November to complete the purchase the vehicle was not on the lot
as Mr M[redacted] had asserted earlier in the day that it would be. He made
a phone call at that point, and a driver brought the vehicle over,
arriving at about 4:45. This means that the vehicle had been driven
an unspecified distance and for an unspecified time, possibly for up
to ½ hour, and at unspecified
speed. As I stated in my
previous chronology, when I drove the vehicle away I did
not go more than a mile or two on Route 22 before
I noted that the one gauge, the temperature gauge, was very
elevated. The vehicle was already overheated when I took
possession of it, and should not have been driven. Whether or not
Mr. M[redacted] was aware of this, I don't know, but the
vehicle was not as he represented it to me. He could take
this issue up with the person who inspected it. I believe that to
pass inspection a vehicle must be driven and determined to be safe
and drivable. Had I been allowed
to take the vehicle to my own mechanic for inspection these problems
would undoubtedly have been identified.
Ms.
A[redacted] states that I called later that evening to say that the
vehicle was not running right and seemed to be running hot. In
fact, I placed this call less than 20 minutes after leaving their lot
and from a distance of not more than ½ mile from that location,
having turned around. Instead of saying that it was not running
right, I said that I was stopped on the shoulder of the road, that
there had been a puff of smoke coming from the vehicle, and that the
gauge indicated the vehicle was overheated. Mr. M[redacted] instructed me
to drive it back to a nearby parking lot and that he would look at it
around 8:30 in the morning. He instructed me to leave the keys in a
wheel well. I told him that I did not want to re-start the vehicle
as that might be unsafe. A state policeman and a roadside
assistance tow truck arrived at this point (and
the police report will confirm time and location), and I told
Mr. M[redacted] that I would have it towed to the appointed spot, that I
would be staying locally (I had no other transportation home and it
was cold and dark) and that he should call me when his folks were
ready to arrive at the vehicle and I could be there with the keys
within 5 minutes.
As for
having signed the “as is” document, I did so knowing that the
vehicle was older with a variety of non-essential but possibly
tourblesome parts, including propane heater and stove, refrigerator,
air conditioner etc. Given Mr M[redacted]'s assurance that the engine
and brakes were sound, I had no trouble acknowledging that the rest
of those items might not be functional and beyond his responsibility.
I
purchased the vehicle with the assurance that the vehicle was
drivable. It was not. Mr. M[redacted] should refund the purchase price
or pay for any repairs necessary to make it drivable. I acknowldge
that the appliances etc. on board are not his responsibility, The
basic function of the vehicle, its drivability, certainly is.

Review: On February 1 of 2013 I financed a 2003 mitsubishi eclipse after having the car for 2 weeks the vehicle was up for inspection as it was sold without he, the owner [redacted] advised that it was a good running car and nothing was wrong with it the vehicle would not pass inspection because the mechanic found 5 main issues going on with the vehicle , so I took it back to the lot and gave the owner the list of problems he then replied again nothing was wrong with the vehicle but would have one of his guys check it out so I demanded to be tooken out of that vehicle and asked him if he had any cars for cash purchase without finance as I was looking for a reliable vehicle for my son to get to work he advised us to go to his other lot on [redacted] in [redacted] so we did and all of his vehicles had no current inspections but the salesman showed us what they had we saw 2 vehicles we were interested in after going back to [redacted] we asked about the 1998 pontiac grand prix at klassic kids auto sales in which he sold to me as a cash offer with $1100 down and to return with $210 in 2 weeks he also said that the vehicle was rusted underneath and that was all wrong with the vehicle. So we took that vehicle as a trade and went for and oil change and inspection it was not until then a week later on the 18th we were advised that the vehicle was not in fact rusted but totally rotted out and there were huge holes underneath the body as to where you can actually see the seats nothing that you can notice from the inside also was told the transmission was going on the vehicle something that was not informed by [redacted]. So after calling him and getting nothing but rudeness in return we decided to drive over to the dealership and spoke with [redacted] and he got into and argument with my mother and my young son using unprofessional language after we told him we wanted our money back he also replied tomato tomatoe whats the difference I said there is a big difference between rusted and rotted he said there was nothing he can do and refused to talk to us anymore so I begged him to help me out as I showed nothing but respect and did not appreciate having nothing to show for my money I told him the car was not driveable and that it was leaking oil extensively and needed to be towed after a couple of days of pleading with him to switch me out and give me a credit for the car he finally says he had a 1995 Ford THunderbird that was in great shape has a good inspection and was a reliable car so I went down to see the car in which he said he wanted another $500 for this vehicle on top of the $400 I bought in additional to the $1100 so we took the car on a test drive and automatically it started knocking from underneath as if something was loose and going to fall apart it had no sideview mirror and no junkyard I called had this mirror as I stood in his office so I said come on now you got $1500 out of me so far you telling me you have nothing reliable to put me in he hung up the phone several times and advised me to take him to court so I called the [redacted] police department and had them be a witness as per this man was ripping people off we met at his dealership they told me that they have dealt with this dealership plenty of times and they see what people go through they also called him a character after he saw I called the police on him he yelled at me and told me to get out of his office I told him I just wanted my money back he told me the only thing he would be willing to give back was the $400 so after he received cash he wrote me a check and handed it to the officer and we left and I am now out of $1100 in which I am low income and do not have money to throw away.Desired Settlement: I would like for [redacted] to settle this out of court and give us the $1100 back he took from us literally if desired settlement is not reached I will file in the civil courts
