I have not entered into a contract with this company yet I have received a bill for services.
I have not entered into a contractual agreement with your organization nor have I asked your organization to perform a service at my home. Just to remind you of the circumstances, I purchased a home in March of this year and it appears that the previous owners had a relationship with your organization of which I can't confirm. Nonetheless, while your services may or may not have been useful to the previous owners, I have not decided to start a pest control service of this magnitude, I presently do not reside in the home nor have I entered into a contractual agreement with your company and I will not be bullied into a false contract. Please correct your records and remove my information from your company file.

Desired Outcome

I would like this bill removed and my contact information removed from their directory.

Kirkland's Pest Control Response • Sep 04, 2019

Good afternoon, Ms.. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused. Our company performed a termite treatment on your home located at XXXXX *** XXXXX-XXXX back on 6/29/2007. We have held the termite renewal on this address and have inspected it every year since that time. The annual renewal is in June. That was the reason for our visit to your property on 6/10/2019. We were not aware that the property had sold when we performed our inspection. You are NOT responsible for the charge for this renewal UNLESS you wanted to pick up the termite bond. We offer that to new tenants if the bond has been in place and is in good standing. You have expressed that you are not interested in having this termite bond on your home. We have cancelled the service at this address and credited the account for any and all charges. It appears our collection department did that today when they received this information from you. Please be advised that your home is no longer under a termite bond/warranty with our company.

Extremely poor service, not showing up, not doing the work correctly, poor communication
We hired Kirkland's Pest control to do a brown recluse treatment in summer 2018 from the Murfreesboro office. They did the treatment, and then did no follow-up in any way. Ken was the contact there. When I contacted him 2 months afterwards, he came out and acknowledged that there should have been a follow-up monthly service and he would set that up. He never did. So we contacted the Fayetteville office and spoke with Ray, who told me he was some kind of supervisor there. He came out to the house and was appalled at how things were and then set up a monthly contract, which I signed. He then set us up with a technician named Allen. He came out after the first month, and did spray and laid traps. He could not even fold the traps correctly. They have lines where the traps need to be folded, and it boggles my mind that he could not even do that right. I let that go, and waited until the next month. He never contacted me so I called and then I texted him. He responded by saying, "Who is this?" At this point, we were so fed up with the service that I decided to go with another company, and I ceased communication with them. I did send them a letter in January 2019 stating that I was not continuing the service. They tried to call me several times after this, but I did not take the calls because there had been too many promises and services that were not done correctly. They are now sending me bills for breach of contract for $180, and now have had a $1.50 fee in addition. I am not going to pay this as they are the ones who breached the contract by not providing the services requested. They are also completely incompetent in my opinion. Ken and Ray both said they were "supervisors" and it's clear to me that no one is really in charge and everyone just does what they want to.

Desired Outcome

I want the $181.50 to stop being charged to me. They are the ones who breached contract by being incompetent. If they provided the services which they delineated in the contract, I would have never had to stop using their services.

Good afternoon. I apologize for the experience you had with our company. Please beleive me when I tell you this is NOT acceptable for us! We have been in business for 40+ years and we pride ourselves with our customers' satisfaction. I have pulled your account records and spoken with two supervisors, one salesperson and two technicians. Your account was handled by two branches, which should not happen. I believe this division caused some of the issues on follow-up from your initial brown recluse service. Again, I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. I have voided the "Breach of Contract" charge on your account and the finance charge of $1.50. Your account balance is zero and you will not receive any further bills from us. I truly wish I had known about your issues before now. I assure you, I would have taken care of them. We are very sorry to have lost your business.

I am satisfied with the response. I understand that people in businesses sometimes have issues and they need to be addressed. I hope this spurns them into action to provide good customer service.

Termite treatment defaced the outer perimeter of home.
On 9/17/17, contract #TNXXXXXX. Kirklands Pest Control was enlisted to provide termite treatment in the crawl space underneath our home .The service person drilled holes in the concrete every 12 inches on the outer perimeter of our home. Holes were filled, but defaced the property. This was not the type of treatment we agreed to have done. When contacted, Kirklands sent an employee out to color the concrete that was inserted in the holes. The filled holes are rough and have defaced the appearance of our patio, carport, and driveway in front of the garage. This defacement will ultimately affect the value of our home.

Desired Outcome

The concrete needs to be repaired by a reputable concrete chosen by the consumer.

Our branch manager, Allen P, spoke with the customers last week. He went out personally on Friday, September 7th and redrilled, recorked, and repatched one of the patios. He spoke with Mr.. Mr. discussed this with his wife over the weekend. Mr. contacted us this morning, 9/11/18, and advised if we would come back out and do the other patio, this issue would be resolved. Thank you.
